Glad I grabbed 60 GB/EE model earlier this year. I've been playing MGS3: Subsistence on it for about 15 hours so far and it's played flawlessly.

God, this is worse than Microsoft's "backward compatibility" support - way to let your customers down, Sony (again)

It's funny how no matter what the topic is, someone will bash Microsoft in the first 5 comments.

At least they are resolving certain problems with firmware updates.

They claim that TOCA Racedriver 3 has no problems...They are WRONG.

If you play TOCA3 on the PS3 with the Logitech DFP, you will get random loss of steering control from the DFP wheel.

I checked for the 60gb PS3 for 'Manhunt' and it says ''Publisher: Rockstar Games (Take 2)
Product No: SLUS-20827'' has no major issues... but i've got Product No. 52023/P and it doesn't even work on the PS3.

Please Sony, make this game work!

@ marklar : yeah providing backwards compatibility for 99% of the PS2 and PS1 games is so much worse than microsft. Keep your fanboy comments to yourself.

@ Frank : your so defensive of microsoft (are you on their payroll?) that you even see things that are not there.

marklar, you're incorrect-- (why not just call yourself TRUTH?); even the least-compatible ps3 is more backwards-compatible than the Xbox360. You can look it up, but you don't care about facts, so you won't. Liar.

Frank, no one bashed Microsoft. What, are you free-basing with marklar? Your comment is number 4, and the only anti-platform comment was raised by number 3, the liar above. I mean, what is the IQ of you people?

Compatibility list doesnt apply to EU games apparently as it doesnt come up with a version of scarface that I have that works. I usually go by this list tbh.

And of course, the EU BC list hasn't been updated since 1.80. And I notice that Silent Hill 3 is working on the US 60GB models now, so GET IT FUCKING WORKING HERE NOW.

@Bored ...that's not Wikipedia's list. I looked up the Greatest Hits names from Wikipedia and did the search myself via the Compatablity site. If the games on the Greatest Hits list isn't the Greatest Hits games doesn't dispel the fact these games have issues that are unfixed

@14

The list gets updates as titles appear on there that have recently been released. They just don't seem to update the front page.
