Lulz. I'm replying to the first comment so I can be seen second.

Anyways, if anybody wants to see the episode, or any other episode of South Park, they are all being hosted online at this site:
www.allsp.com
While the site is probably illegal, I still found it a useful distraction.

i finally watched it a few weeks back (thanks youtube!), but i don't get the fuss. It was reasonably funny, but i'd have to say it was one of the weaker episodes of South Park i've seen.

Why do people love it so? Because it had a game in it? Because of the in-jokes?

I'm not a fan of South Park or WoW, but the "Make Love, Not Warcraft episode was great. I would recommend against watching the Wii episodes though unless you are a South Park fan. I stopped watching after only seeing a part of it.

The Wii episodes are awesome. Awesome social commentary on how atheists think everything will be great without God. How stupid they are and the fact humanity will have wars for any reason.

but i do agree that humans will have wars even without religion

and the warcraft episode is nowhere near south park's best

The earth is 6000 years old.
The moon is a source of light like the sun.

Yeah, we atheists are really stupid with our evolutionary biology and beliefs founded in laws of science.

Fun fact: You can be religious and believe in science at the same time. Also, you can be an atheist and not have to be a douchebag.

As for the emmy win, I'm glad. One of my favorite episodes.

To Dan Stabbingworth:

"Yeah, we atheists are really stupid with our evolutionary biology and beliefs founded in laws of science."

Yes - you are. Since when did it become law that people of science couldn't show a little faith in a higher power, as well? If you can point me to where this law has been wtritten down, I'd definitely appreciate it. Until you can - Shut the fuck up.

I'm pretty sure the guy isn't sayin atheists are stupid, just that they are in the show. No need to rep him down, he's talking about a cartoon parody on religion.

Atheists do not think everything will be great without God. They think that there is NO God. You can't think everything 'will' be great without something if you already believe that you are without it.

As for the statement that
"How stupid they are and the fact humanity will have wars for any reason."
Well then, maybe we should also keep racism, greed, nationalism, dogmatism, totalitarianism and hatred in general. After all, humanity will always have wars for any reason, so there's no point in trying to avoid it.

"Would you kindly shut the hell up?"

Humans don't provoke wars, government and heads of religious groups provoke wars.
If there isn’t religion, there is terrorism, if there isn’t terrorism there is communism and so on.

At the end wars are just political conflicts so heads of religious/political groups can obtain power and/or money while people die like if it was some sick Chess game.

BTW Imo they descript atheists like if there were part of a religious group since different religious groups had conflicts between them for no good reason when the answer to all religious conflicts is tolerance, also religious conflicts are always for really dumb reasons.

Being an atheist(strong atheist at least and if you dont know the difference, dont jump into the conversation) is as stupid as anything. It's hard to be a man of science, using logic to come up with your theories, and then totally discard another theory because of lack of evidence. That's not logical. And no, science doesn't prove their is no god. It is impossible to prove that God does or does not exist. If you're a weak atheist, this may or may not apply. There are more beliefs than just 'there is NO god' in atheism. And that concludes my rant.

Having faith in science turns atheism into a religion of sorts, since Macro-evolutionary science is a theory, and the creators, and major minds who believed in it, also believed that there had to be some god-like source to put it in motion.

I wouldn't say that. I think it's funny for all those who have played an MMORPG. I don't play WoW and I thought it to be quite funny. Not the funniest episode I've ever seen, but the funniest of the season.

That season had much funnier episodes.

Go God Go
Cartoon Wars Part 1 and 2
The Return of Chef
Smug Alert
A Million Little Fibers (never seen so much camera action on Opera's crotch lawl)
Manbearpig
Miss Teacher Bangs a Boy
Tsst
Hell on Earth 2006
Stanley's Cup

Oh wait that was EVERY episode besides the WoW episode! How did that happen, did I just say in much too many lines that the WoW episode was personally the WORST episode of the season?

I thought the episode was funny at times. Not the "z0mg hilariousness" some people make it out to be, but I admit the whole "This is the end of the world... of Warcraft" was pretty hilarious.

Funny how a discussion about religion spawned in this comments section... yet another reason why I think apatheism rules :P

Its where you don't give a damn about there being a God or not.

Sometimes confused with agnosticism.

Crono's right. It's sort of a mix between Apathy (indifference) and Atheism. Apatheism is when you don't think the question of God's existence is a meaningful question. Sort of like Atheism, although you do not deny the fact that there may be a God. It's also sort of like Agnosticism, only you're not saying there is a God.

At first I called myself Agnostic, until I came across Apatheism. It suits me perfectly, since I really don't want to think about it...

The two faimily guy/censorship episodes should of won. They really hit home on how damn stupid those muslims reacted to the cartoon and how censorship because of terrorism isn't right. On top of that they ripped Family Guy a new one which was well deserved. Tv show "30 days" and "South Park" both had cartoon figures of mahammed and nobody cared.

I think Code Monkeys is an example of how a lot of people don't think your funny when you use blatant social commentary and incessant fart jokes. The reasoning behind South Park's success at humor when compared to shite like Code Monkeys is simple. They are clever. Code Monkeys, is not. You still have to be clever writers, and come up with actually kinda fresh ideas. Making an episode about towelie that seems boring, but turns into Opera's minge trying to ruin her career, was freagin hilarious. Making an episode to show how atheists are religious in their anti-religion beliefs and how they still have the potential to fight meaningless wars, is smart as well.

But it isn't just what the episode is about, or the fact that they did use fart jokes. It's HOW they put it all together that is so unique and hilarious. Kthx.
