Last night the South Park episode "Make Love, Not Warcraft" won the Emmy for Outstanding Animated Program (less than one hour). If you still haven't seen the episode since we first reported the nomination in July, you can now always rent or buy the 10th season DVD set of South Park which includes the episode.
Season 10 also includes the episode where Cartman freezes himself so when he wakes up the Wii will be available -- things go horribly wrong. So go check out the Emmy-winning episode "Make Love, Not Warcraft" and the two-parter "Go God Go" for your South Park meets video game entertainment needs.

It was a good episode, but I don't think it deserved to be nominated, furthermore win, an award.

I really think the Avatar episode should have one. It was simply a well-crafted episode and very character-driven and insightful.

It was good but it wasn't great, it's funny when you are a wow fan/player but i don't think others would see it in the same light.

Yeah I am also on Manic's train of thought how did that epi win an Emmy, unless you were informed what that show was about it made no sense to you.
It really isn't funny unless you have played WOW and understand the no life jokes, and such. It is just another reason why I never trust award shows, they are more about flash than about actual awarding quality programming.
No really, this doesn't make a lot of sense, that episode isn't funny enough to win an Emmy. Really it seems like a bunch of judges trying their best to seem relevant to a younger crowd and failing miserably. You really can't blame family guy, and Robot chicken for opening any salvos on them now for this act. Wow freaking South Park.

I thought it was pretty funny, South Park ridicules EVERYONE, religious people, Politicians, Homosexuals, Homophobes. I'm certainly not going to do a Scientology and get all up in arms because Video Game stereotypes got used, that's what South Park does.
Part of the purpose of the episode was to prove that some people take gaming too seriously, and I think that taking any episode of South Park too seriously is pretty much making their point for them.

I thought the Wii episode was one of the best I've seen. It was just so out of hand. Athiest otters ftw.

I still haven't seen the WoW episode, but I loved the Wii episode. Cartman calling himself and the other kids from the future and the atheist sea otters were hilarious.

I've read all of the comments above and most said that you had to play WOW in order to get the jokes. No you don't, i don't play the game and i still get it.

This was not the best SP episode and I should know, I have the best judgement of all the people on Earth and nobody knows better than me and no episode should recieve any awards if I didn't like it !

I think the funniest parts in that episode were the short scenes with that uber-nerd just sitting there .. lazy as hell, just moving to get a chitto of himself.

The make love not warcraft was great if you play wow. You dont understand the satirical points of it. And trey plays wow. Nor do you understand what was involved in making it, and why thats monumental. Go play you Wii and stfu
