Trying to reply to someon, but the reply is not working.
They may be using a source engine from a great, proven multipayer game engine, but so what? The whole four person, survival, zombie, horror game has never been done before. When that zombie jumped out of the air on your back....sweet! There are probably going to be some memorable, shit-inducing scares from the AI in this. The "super" zombies will direct the masses to surprise attack you, and if your watch it always seems that the zombies press when they gain an advantage, they continue to swarm you.
Looks like it will be a cool multiplayer (like spies verse mercenary) verse survival mode too.

I don't know where these people are getting the idea this game would ever cost 60 dollars. Source games like Counter-Strike, Day of Defeat, or this have always been 20 dollars. And that is probably why the reason people derisively refer to them as "mods." They are cheap fun multi-player experiences. A lot like Shadowrun, but without the stupidly high price point.
And for those who said you cannot tell what the graphics look like, they are clearly equivalent to the graphics in other upcoming Source games like Half-Life 2: Episode Two or Portal. Although HDR Lighting doesn't seem like it is going to come into affect on L4D's dark maps.

Word of the street, the people in resident evil 4 weren't "zombies", they were just humans with a mind controlling parasite in them.

The means don't particularly matter. A zombie is a zombie. There are ants that eat a snail's egg turn into them, too.

Looks like a good HL2 mod and not much else. I'd get it if it were $15 on XBL or Steam.
