We've seen its crashing mayhem in official trailers and video demos, but today we've got your first look at some actual in-game Burnout Paradise footage. Embedded above is a six minute gameplay demo of Burnout Paradise pulled from an unknown source and let's just say it's lovely. Watch as the pretty muscle car races down the streets, hits other pretty cars and blows up into pretty car bits. It's like an exploding pinata, but medal and octane fueled. We're not sure how intuitive accessing the various race modes in this free roam racer will be, but from the looks of things we're thinking EA has this one figured out. Watch the video above and see for yourself how crashtacular Burnout Paradise will be.
[Thanks, Darkstar]

The last 1 min of that video was hilarious, not too mention the part about, the NFS Series.

How doesn't it look cooler? It actually takes advantage of the system's power, the online component is interesting and far more developed and they're taking the series into one of those "go anywhere" directions.
I can see if someone prefers the way the older ones were set up, but honestly, it's clearly pretty different from the last ones. I'm glad I didn't bother with Revenge either, considering. It's not a matter of being a fan of the series or not.

As long as I can play this with my wireless racing wheel, I'll be a happy pup.

This game looks awesome and I am really excited about it coming out. I am totally digging the open world gameplay. BUT ... I am absolutely pissed about the lack of split-screen play. This is a game that I used to love playing with my friends when they came over. Now I can still play with my friends ... but not if they're in the same room? Total BS. I hate this trend with more and more next-generation games doing away with split-screen play. I really think that a lot of developers are missing the boat on this one, and I feel like a lot of gamers agree with me. Fewer and fewer games support two-player split screen and almost none support 4-player split screen. While I love bigger games and better graphics, I really think the power of next-generation systems should be applied to allowing me and 1 to 3 of my friends to enjoy the experience together.

The game looks pretty good. The crash sequences look alot better than the actual gameplay.

From this video at least, it looks almost identical to it's predecessor Burnout Revenge, only with damage that's a bit better.

Long running series really have to do something new or unique to get me to buy in year after year. Like Burnout 3: Takedown was great, but I didn't need basically more of the same from Revenge for $50-60 bucks.

i got into burnout at burnout 3. I did purchase and fully beat revenge. But I sodl it afterwards as I couldent see myself playing it again after that. I thought revenge was ok but liked takedown alot more.
Paradise looks good, but wheres the races? Wheres the tracks, in the forest, in the mountains, in the different cities? Were is the racing through oncoming traccif to get a boost advantage and catch up to the guy ahead of you. Wheres the takedowns with boost multiplyer? If those things are not in this game, it will be a pass for me. Driving around an open world and doing challenges does not really thrill me.
