"Sure 360 can do a lot of things too, but doesn't have the flexibility that the PS3 does. If your opinion is otherwise its wrong. PS3 can do more media center wise. End of story."

With the 360 you don't have to buy into a new format with a higher price like the PS3

If thats not flexible, I don't know what is.. And I don't need a media center. I need a system that plays games. 360 does that for me as well as others.

Congrats Sony.. I own both PS3 and 360 and I don't agree with this but then again I'm not sure if the 360 was even in the running.

The only advantage the PS3 has is Blu-Ray and a million times better DVD playback. But the 360 owns as a Media Center. I can listen to all my music, watch all my movies, pictures on my PC network(available at launch). I can watch TV and record TV, up-to-the-minute sport scores and a whole section dedicated to sports highlights, etc. I can listen to XM Satellite, MTV Overdrive, Rent Vongo Movies, Comedy Central, Rueters and a million other web media portals as well as surf the web. Of course you do need to install Windows Media Center or Vista Ultimate.. I use Vista Ultimate and it's a freakin powerhouse.

Thats an impressive list of things 360 can do, however did you ever take into consideration that you spent more on Vista Ultimate then you did on your 360? because personally I spent 0 on Linux and I can with the right coding (yes its more work) do the exact same thing.

Regardless of what you need we are commenting on a blog about "PS3 named best 'media center' by European org".

New format? Whats this new format you are referring to? AVI, MPG2, MPG4, VC-1? It plays them all. If you are referring to Bluray thats just ridiculous. Don't use the the bluray if you don't want to. It still upscales your old DVDs incredibly. It can convert CDs to MP3s. With the exception of divx and xvid it can play almost any type of audio/video format out there.

You can attach your digital camera to it and it will pull the pictures off it. It can display your photos in slides shows, background scrolling.

The Playstation 3 is a game machine and MORE!!! For a game machine to do more than what it supposed to do... now that's value added (never mind the price). It is a natural progression for a game console to go into the digital entertainment arena (digital media convergence). Also it is pointless to argue that the PS3 and XBox 360 is like "apples and oranges." PS3, Wii and XBox 360 are game consoles and are good at what they do: play games for entertainment.

Hey, Europe loves the PS3! Why don't they take that and David Hasselhoff away for good and go have a nice picnic without the USA.

It’s too bad Sony is bleeding money out of there teeth. PS3 is too advanced for its time, and adding the BD player was the most stupid thing Sony could have ever done. If you want to push Blu-Ray, then sell competitive stand alone players just as Toshiba sells their stand alone HD DVD players which are currently clobbering Sony in stand alone by at least 10:1 in North America.

So, what do we have here? We have a PS3 that has had 2 price drops less then one year (Never Heard of Ever in the Console Business), their Blu-Ray player (Profile 1.0) is still not standardized which may have compatibility problems with profile 1.1 & 2.0 movies coming in Q2 & Q3 2008. The problems are hardware related not software unless Sony can pull a rabbit out of its hat and come up with some miracle firmware update, they are toast.

And to top it all off, check out these FACTS!!!!!!!!!!!!
