Sony has scheduled some preliminary Tool time, dating the Ratchet & Clank Future demo for October 4th, according to IGN. The demo will feature Tools of Destruction's opening level, as disclosed by Insomniac in an interview with thedaily.com.au. "[Resistance taught us] the importance of opening the game with a bang -- and that's just what we do," Insomniac told thedaily.com.au, "Players will get a sneak peek of this level via a downloadable demo that should hit the PlayStation Network Store in the not-too-distant future." Not-too-distant being just 23 days away.
Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction is scheduled for retail release on October 23rd.

well considering how many trailers they have released on the first level, i could probably already play it with my eyes closed. but it will be interesting to see how it controls. if i feel the game is funny and difficult enough, i'll get it.

Ratchet or Mario Galaxy? No brainer...
Yeah right... this game will be beautiful, but boring and very easy, just like the past Ratchet games.

I have every single game of Ratchet, and finished all games (the "achivemenst" are very boring: destroy all the stuff, etc.)

So now you're telling me you spent hundreds of dollars and a good amount of time playing a bunch of boring games. So you went into each game thinking; "the last game was boring and easy, but let me buy this one. Oh yeah, not to mention it crosses several console platforms I'll invest in the hardware as well."
If a game sucked so much, you wouldn't have played each title in the serious. It may not be the most difficult games in the world for hardcore users, but its fun for gamers that don't spend 6 hours a day playing a game.

When I bought a game, I always want to complete the collection, even if they are boring...
My only hobby is collecting videogames, thats why I spend $100 dlls every week. i dont like to tune my car, or spend a lot on clothes, just games.
Rigth now, I have like 500 games, so, thats why I have all the Ratchet games.

Hell yah, we finally agree on something! Ratchet ftw!

Yes! Fernando has finally gotten out of the Nintendo Childcare Camp! You see things for what they are worth!
"...but boring and very easy, just like the past Ratchet games."
Fact: banboyism is uncurable, at least for Fernando
Ratchet games have been by far more challenging than Mario Games...hell, I even finished New Super Mario Brose in like less than a day (I was at work >_>), I mean, I even got 2 stars...

Hence - You're a hardcore gamer. Only the most difficult games will be a challenge for someone like you. However, since hardcore gamers don't make up the majority; the Ratchet skill level is perfect for mainstream (just like Mario). I'll have to agree with others that Ratchet and Clank is definitely more difficult than the recent mario titles but their both still fun regardless.

I think the R&C games are fun, but feel a bit forumulaic at this point. They're akin to comfort food.
That's not really a bad thing, but at the same time, I'm not expecting a mind blowing experience out of Ratchet & Clank. I am, however, expecting to be throughly blown by Mario.

Oh, and I should also say that Mario Sunshine was CONSIDERABLY harder than any Ratchet & Clank game, too.
The first few levels weren't really anything tough but after that it got a lot more challenging.
Granted, not God Hand or Ninja Gaiden challenging...but challenging, nonetheless.

Hmm I don't know when Sheppy got banned but two got banned in this post:

Anyway I sort of liked R&C the short time I played at the store but it had a weird Banjo Kazooie collectathon vibe putting me off to the series. Same eventually with Spyro and Crash. And Banjo

Nah, I got the banhammer Saturday as cc123 can attest. Him and I both noticed it was yet another article writen only to incite flamewars and console bashes. I wouldn't call it misinformation directly but misdirection to be certain. So I called out the author and got the banhammer. So from now on, as articles are posted with the sole intent of egging on fantards, I'll just sit back and shake my head as things progress downhill.
Lesson learned: Never question those with the hammer. I had to dredge myself up out of hell with my sexy ninja self (BPM knows the joke behind my new avatar).

Its funny how the haters jump on PS3 news; why is it so hard to just give a game some credit or wait to comment on some news that's relevant to your own console? I'm sure Joystiq can dig up some more news about games coming out for 360 and the Wii for you to comment on. Leave us PS3 users to comment on our games instead of trying to spoil our discussions with sarcasm and bs.

Its because PS3 owners are sad people trying to justifie the wasted $600 dlls.
Right now, there are no single game on the PS3 that a Wii60 can ask.
Sorry, but its the true.

Nah, we aren't sad, actually, we want you to realize that the PS3 is quite good.
btw, there isn't a single game for the Wii that im interested on...
Zelda, well, I got it for NGC
RE4, I also have it for NGC
Red Steel, there is an arcade 10 mins away from my house
MP3....played first and second, both boring...http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v150/Flashblade/Forums/redwhy.gif
WarioWare, I only found the DS one entertaining...for 2 hrs that is...
Mario Strikers, great ideas, awful final product...and also worth mentioning, one of Nintendo's attempt for online gaming, AWFUL
and well...WiiSports...http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v150/Flashblade/Forums/IGNControlsRBroke.gif

I'm very happy playing Warhawk and I believe Heavenly Sword is a couple days away. Neither of those can you play on that Wii60 combo. I'm quite happy with my $500 investment and all I would like to do is talk about the games that are coming out without people that don't own the console commenting about things they haven't experienced or that I'm supposedly "sad" b/c they don't own a PS3.
I'm beyond those teenage years where it matters what everyone else in the world is doing. I just want to know legitimate news/info about games I'm interested in.

Fernando, Fernando, Fernando,
whats really sad is people like you making asses out of themselves trying desparately to bad mouth something they want but cant have.
"Right now, there are no single game on the PS3 that a Wii60 can ask."
Warhawk, on the Wii? Sure, maybe with tons of fog, jaggies everywhere, low rez textures, glitchy framerate and no online.
360? You need a working reliable system, but I have no doubt that the 360 could do Warhawk. It would have lag unlike the silky smooth PS3 online.
Fernando, with each passing anti-PS3 comment you make yourself look like a bigger idiot Nintendo fanboy who waggles himself in the shower.

If you have played any of the RaC games, you would know that the humor in it alone is def. not kiddy.
Why don't you and Fernando team up on your trolling. Maybe together you could come up with something mildly amusing for once.

This may seem a bit (or more so) off topic, but do you notice how certain console-oriented articles' hearts system seems to be dominated by one faction or other?
Think: President Beeblebrox NEVER gets voted up in certain articles, whether or not he makes a valid point, while in this article, he does. In articles about Wii Fit, pro-Nintendo comments get voted down, no matter how valid
Anyone ever notice this phenomenon?
