Me? I'm part of the SDF, apparently. Don't let Naked Peach fool you. She's just to lure in the NDF before I...do...whatever..it is one does when the _DF's fight.

Maybe I'm too old (24), but I really don't get all this "NDF, MDF, SDF" shit.

Why would you rigorously defend a corporation, whose only purpose is to take your money?
I'm not saying you can't have a preference, but you shouldn't devote yourself to only one company.
You will miss a lot of good games

To defend one company and pretend they can do no wrong, only means you won't be able to help them further better themselves, and make gaming better as a whole.

At first I didn't want to change my name but after several other members did so so as to clarify whose position is whose, I did to reflect I had the wind ring. Some of our ring bearers have a 360 like Fernando, it's just we prefer Nintendo. I myself had a Genesis, PSX, and PS2 because games were heading their way that Nintendo's systems didn't have. But the current situation of such high entrance costs plus on the games themselves has cemented my like for Nintendo. We the NDF formed to stop the FUD of the competitors and say we don't want our hobby to escalate out of price range. I sometimes got tempered or stubborn and flame, but I try to respond to the topic or make a joke instead of being fanatic.

Samfish, when we fight we pull out all sorts of facts and figures, triumphs and losses etc to support our arguments that our chosen system is teh gooder than yours.

Here's the latest list of NDF Elite members:

Jody Anthony (Yellow Lion)

Crono (Fiire Ring)

Kye (Black Lion & Earth ring)

Nintendo Fanbot (Power/weapon unknown...[there has to be one mysterious guy])

Rubang B ( Heart Ring, Sensor bar grapling hook, bearer of the Zapper Gun and Wii remote light sabre, other weapons too numerous to mention)

Fernando Rocker (Water ring, Green Lion & nunchuks)

Silky Love (Red Lion)

Hvnlysoldr (Blue Lion & Wiind ring)

Fatass, SummerCamp & Ken on leave of absence.
Heart Ring to be re-issued.
Other weapons in storage.

end*

ukickmydog, welcome to the ranks.

Lord Chako, I'm 25 and it's only fun. I wouldn't actually go out there and break anyone's PS3 or chain myself to the Nintendo headquarters or anything. Like hvnlysoldr said, we own other consoles, it's just that Nintendos are our favourite.

We're just showing off our rings man. It all started when we found out our lions could merge into a megazord sentai thing. Then we found out we all had a passion for Nintendo. Then we got matching rings. I'm 24. I support Nintendo because I support their gaming philosophy and I think they're helping the industry more than hurting it. I didn't even own a GameCube. I took the entire 6th generation off for StarCraft. I'm back now, and I'm better than ever.

Ouch PS3 is only about 17% of the sold current gen consoles out there

Winner? Already? My "place where i keep my wii games on my game shelf" spot says otherwise. In fact, it's going to be even worse pretty soon when I trade in or sell my monkeyball, blazing angels, and wii play. Game-wise the wii has been a huge disappointment for me and makes me regret my target camp-out back in january.

The end of this year and the beginning of the next is looking BETTER, but the 360 still has PS3 and wii SPANKED in the game selection department. Quantity does not always beat quality, yes, but looking at the average reviews of games coming out across all systems im seeing on a whole PSP games getting 1 point higher than DS games and 360 games getting 1 and 2 whole points higher than wii games.

So as much as I don't like the 360 and don't ever want to get one, it's still pretty much top dog in the next/new gen space at the moment. Numbers don't mean jack when the wii is still a fashion accessory like the ipod. PS3 and wii need to show me some games and then i'll decide who's been creaming crops.

Your arguement is erroneous. At least the people who have broken 360s can return it and play many excellent games when they get it back.

Shigeru Miyafroto is carrying the ring, but Sakurai Gamgee will be carrying Miyafroto when Smash Bros. comes out. I also think that this gen Sony is Saruman but Microsoft is Sauron. And yes, Sega with their Mario vs. Sonic is definitely Gollum. Halo 3 is Orodruin, but Smash Bros./Galaxy will be slam dunking the ring this Christmas, and then flying back home on the backs of some flying Wii Fit hoverboards.

YOU KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS PEOPLE!!!!! It means that 3rd parties might start making decent games so they could get money off the install base of the Wii. But this is really good news for nintendo. They have toppled a the 360 even though the 360 has been out for almost two years now. it only took them 9 months to do this. This great. The Wii might finally get some good games from 3rd parties. I want to see something like Mass Effect(gameplay-and story wise) opn the Wii or something like Metal Gear Solid 4, and maybe even some rally good FPS's with controls as good or better then Metriod Prime 3. "This is a glorious day this is"

OOOOOO and my Fellow NDFers I think the sony bots get the point don't rub it in okay, you'll ruin the good news.

This is a fallacy... Wii having the most market share does not mean anything. Do you think you will ever see:

MGS4, Mass Effect, NG2, GTA4, Oblivion, DMC, CoD4, Unreal, Half life 2, etc..

These games will go PS3/360 before they go on the Wii... 3rd party devs are not going develop original content for it unless it is a mini-game, PS2 port, or a movie tie in. You only have to look at the release schedule to see this.

Sadly it could not work that way.

For example a 3rd party game that sells a crapton in it first day, let say Mario party 8.Is Hudson going to use the money from MP8 to improve their next games by making them more enjoyable maybe more stylish with better minigames, online?, no they are going to keep developing lazy sequels a la Megaman until no one cares and then they ask why no one is buying their crap.

IMO what is going is that casuals don’t read reviews so they keep buying games without knowing if they are good or not, in the case of more experienced gamers they read reviews, rent games etc etc.

Seriously I think this is sad. Nintendo is making cash thanks to all the hype and by releasing 4 good games they already beat a system that has more good games and a much richer online experience.

That's not a fallacy. No, the Wii won't get the games you listed because they were developed for other consoles and won't work on the Wii. That doesn't exclude the same developers or other third parties from making high-caliber games for the Wii.

So what you're saying is that you want games that already exist for other platforms? You are aware that could just buy the other systems to play those games, right?

Mine gets turned on once a week cause I feel guilty for owning it and not using it - but the games just aren't there for it.

Also, keep in mind that the numbers are bs as we all know that Wii owners always buy 2 of these things just to make Nintendo look more powerful! (

And knowing that someone out there actually wants to play and own a Wii is why I just sold mine this week. I felt bad that someone that didn't even like it was lucky enough to own one. So I sold it.

Now a couple of kids are going to have a kick ass Christmas because they will get something that is still hard to find. And I hope they love the games...because I sure didn't.

I can't wait to hear excuses as to why this doesn't matter! OH WAIT IT'S ALREADY HAPPENING

For those complaining about the Wii's library; I'm not going to bother defending its current state, but I will remind you that developers initially ignored the machine, which is why things have been so sparse. This milestone cements the fact that they can't ignore it anymore, and they're not going to. Development of new projects will take time, as games don't pop out of nowhere, but you can rest assured that everyone's going to be working to cook something up on the Wii now. If you look at the DS's early months, it was exactly the same thing.

I only complain about the library because its not up to par. Thats not an excuse. You think I like owning the machine and not finding inspiration to play it. Hell, I can't even easily allow my friends and I to swap mii's because of the lame procedure to connect to anyone. Oh, whats my consoles number? Whats theirs? OK, off to email everyone to see who has a number...oh wait, I could just play a game and talk to them in 10 seconds with the other machine, and off I go.

Dont be blind to its faults man.
