Well, two of the more interesting aspects of Omega Five is:
1. enemies can emerge from the background
2. you have a pet dog (just like Fable!)

Schmup you!

This looks incredibly awesome.
I have been waiting far too long for some side scrolling goodness. That other "intern" project left me hanging in the wind.

this, and that newgrounds knight game, look awesome. i'll have to convince a friend to download these.

looks very cool.... xbla is really starting to take off with the great games. war worlds, undertow, hoopworld, toy wars... and im sure thats just whats been announced (and i know im forgetting alot of other good games) but all of those i will probably buy day 1.
kinda funny that there are more xbla games i am looking forward to than the retail big budget ones.

What's up with all the shump love? The VC getting all the TG-16 shumps, Live getting Rez, Ikaruga, & Omega 5, the PSN......well nothing yet. Now all I need is Border Down, Hyper Duel, and Radiant Silvergun....=)

Looks like an updated version of Forgotten Worlds (and that's a good thing!!)!! I loved that game on the Genesis and would buy this game hands down!! WE NEED MORE SHOOTERS ON XBLA!!!!
dan stabbingworth @ Sep 12th 2007 1:19PM
Indeed. It would be cool if the Xbox Live ARCADE had some more ARCADE games. Not that I don't like the other games, but still.
Chris @ Sep 12th 2007 12:16PM
I'm really glad to see shooters making a comeback, as well as side scrolling games in general. Live Arcade, VC, and PSN are all great to reawaken this sleeping giant.

"Omega Five will also support local co-op for a friend."
uhh.. no XBL multiplayer support? no thanks.. I'd rather play Aegis Wing which has it, and its free.
Delta @ Sep 12th 2007 1:20PM
Aegis Wing was a terrible game, though.
Have fun with that.

I hope this is not like Section Z, that game sucked.
