We're getting closer and closer to September 25th, which can only mean one thing ... more Halo 3 marketing! Freshly revealed this morning is a brand new Halo 3 television spot entitled "Museum" (GameTrailers wrongly calls it "Ammo" ... sheesh!) featuring a retired UNSC soldier reminiscing about the battlefield and good old Master Chief. Indeed, the video is a departure from the action and kaboom of the first Halo 3 commercial that aired last December, but we guess it holds its own. Actually, we'll go on the record to say that this new Museum TV spot is "okay fine", because we prefer our Halo 3 commercials with Master Chief. The commercial is embedded above for your viewing pleasure and be sure to believe guys, just believe.

On its own I don't know, but I imagine this will be running alongside more traditional commercials for the series which should work out well.

got to be honest its really lame. lol. most of the halo marketing bs is though like the mountain dew and gamestop commercial(gayest commercial ever!). What other videogame could get away with airing a TV commercial that doesnt show any game footage, or even mention that it is for a game till the very end? Gears of War came close, but that was all shot using the game engine.
I think this is really amazing. It really transcends what is done conventionally for game advertising, and really makes it seem larger than a simple video game.

In some ways, this was the best commercial I've ever seen for Halo. It's about the mythology rather than the gameplay. It's about selling the brand, not the disk. It's about capturing that feeling you had after tearing through the Pillar of Autumn in a warthog only to emerge as the (almost) sole survivor of the battle of Halo 1. Awesome.
Also, the character is of Polish decent (note the name "Pawel" in the beginning), so you're hearing an Eastern European accent. Brilliant WWII-esque reference.

This commercial was a perfect deviation from the norm. We all know that Halo is "badass", otherwise, there wouldn't be +1 million preorders. This commercial served to show depth to the anticipated game. I thought it was very well done. It doesn't give away too much, but leaves you wanting to learn more.
