I thought of this same gametype. Wonder what they used for baseballs? That would be sweet if bungie included baseballs in the game as an opition

Duh, they used the rockets for the baseballs! Then you tried to hit it with the gravity hammer!

But its not actually baseball is it?

Theres no custom map, scripting or AI.

Its just spawning hammers at one side of the map and rocket launchers at the other and telling people to "play" baseball.

Another lame attempt to try and make Forge out to be anything other than a lame gimmick.

I'm all for respecting Halo's multiplayer. Its a big hit and people love it but Forge is just a severely unneccesary gimmick.

Its really nice to show that they can do it with their engine, but totally unneccessary and ultimately unproductive...

I give it less than a month after launch before only the hardcore fans of sandbox gaming are still playing about with Forge.

Its like garry's mod for half life 2. Its fun for the first few hours, but only the few truly dedicated stick around to do anything after the lol factor has worn off.

Usual disclaimer to protect against the inevitable onslaught of fanboys:

PSWii60 owner. Not a halo hater but simply not a fan. No i wont go back to PS3fanboy.com, no i dont hate my 360 and no i'm not a faggot. I'm just not a halo fan.

Jeff... You're opinion...

Just have to inform you that it's wrong, that's all...

Forge is HUGE... The amount of detail they're letting us play around with is crazy...

The possibilities are nearly limitless, you can make thousands and thousands of games within a game...

I already have 5 or 6 very original game types floating around in my head and I haven't even touched Forge yet...

Forge is a gimmick?

No my friend, Spray on hair is a gimmick, Cheese in a can is a gimmick, purple ketchup is a gimmick...

Nonthing having to do with Halo is gimmick related in anyway... except for the Slurpee cups... And the G6... and the Nascar... and the helmet... and the dogtags...

But in all seriousness

Bungie doesn't put effort into creating stale brief entertainment...

Sorry but you couldn't be more wrong... In fact I would triple Halo 3's shelf life based on the fact that they've added Forge...

Once again another form of creativity provided by Bungie to silence all those bitching that Halo isn't innovative

Go Earth !!

Fontez,

I'm sorry buddy, but you're wrong.

Cheese in a can is *not* a gimmick. It's delicious.

so wait a minute - what is the function of the gravity hammer other than melee? do you smash the rocket or redirect it?

if u can redirect it, the possibilities are endless. :)

LOL...read this yesterday...forgot to comment.

Oh well...Halo 3 is going to be huge.

Fontez, have you never tried Cheez Whiz from Kraft? that shit is SO good. (It's basically cheese in a can.) For once I'll have to disagree with you. (Not that this time it's important.)

I'm going to agree with Rich and say that it is delicious.

Naw cheese whiz is different that's in a jar with a knife... Cheese in a can is in an aerasol can and sprays at you...

To be honest I never tried it so maybe Richard's right lol

Either way the point was... It doesn't need to be in a can... Why don't we just put processed meat in a can then...

You Americans probably have that already though... You guys think of everything for food...
