Who says there's no karma in the video game industry? On the very same day that Europeans learned that the United States would be getting the demo for FIFA 08 before they would, they learn that they'll be getting a new color of DS, silver, on Oct. 12. See, doesn't that more than make up for it?
Here in America, we don't have that fancy color, so we're pretty jealous of you. But you may remember that in Japan, they not only have silver, they have "Metallic Rose." ... Come to think of it, they also have the FIFA 08 demo. Maybe you've been angry with the wrong country all along.

It's crazy how nuts people go over DS colors. When I was at the last (real) E3, you would have thought I was MiyamotoSan the way people were coming up to me every time I had my Navy Blue DS Lite out... (this was just before the only-available-in-white DS had come out in the US)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the DS is region free. So I could technically purchase this.
Anyway, I'm still using my phat so maybe it's time to upgrade.

playasia have the japanese silver ds lite $180,http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-9h-49-en-70-21oe.html i dunno how that compares to american prices, its cheaper than the uk price anyway, they are region free but of course you'll need to buy an american charger, you won't be able to use your ds phat's charger

Frig me! That's beautiful. Still I'd get the black one if I had to buy a new one to match my iPod.

My name's Rubang B, and I'm a DS-aholic. I already bought 4, and now this silver one and the new Brain Age 2 bundled two-tone are making me close to relapsing.

Hey, I sold my launch DS, one was a gift, and I kept the other DS and my DS Lite. I keep one of each Nintendo handheld for my collection. The only one I'm missing is the GBA with the brighter backlit screen. I keep forgetting to pick one up.

Yeah, that two-tone one is really making me want to purchase it all over again.
Guess it wouldn't make much sense for me to purchase one just for a new skin colour. My protective shell I have for it just covers it up.

Actually the first multi-colored Game Boy was the original. Prior to the Game Boy Pocket, Nintendo relaunched the Game Boy as the Play it Loud! Game Boy. Now they all had different colors and they all said Play it Loud! on them. I think it was 1994, because it says Play it Loud! on my Nintendo Powerfest 1994 T-shirt. I'm so badass.
