Cool I wish my Spartan toy did that.

This will let people know who Master Chief is from the previous ad, "when Master Chief armed his grenade..."

Not sure which one I like better, do I have to choose?? Eh Halo 3 ftw!

The more I watch it the more I like, both are great awesome commercials.

I think Bungie is successfully potraying this grand epic battle effectively and emotionally. You empathize with humanity and their hope of Master Chief coming through to perserve Earth.

@ Jonah...RIP? No. He's been in the same situation before and he got out of it by jamming the grenade into the brute's armour...where it exploded and killed the motherfucker.

Master Cheif FTW. FTF 09/25/2007.

I'm I the only one wondering why they are using cheesy plastic soldiers in these commericals. It's a museum in the future, bring in the holograms! Or anything that doesn't look like the green plastic army men from back in the day.

I really hope they do not kill him in the end. But I have a bad feeling they are going to. This is the last part in the halo story from what I hear. I know they are going to take the game in a different direction after this one, so it would make sense that they would want to make it fresh with a new character.

#17. They're not cheesy. That diorama is over 1200 feet wide, 12 feet tall, with 8-12" figurines, and created by none other than Stan Winston.

Personally I much preferred this one. Gets the point across better and doesn't focus almost entirely on an old man.

Masterchief is COMPLETELY surrounded by brutes at the end, and somehow is being held up by some pretty huge chief brute. Looks like the brutes are taking over at that point, but when Masterchief looks up to show he is not done yet you get that goosebump feeling and believe that he can still pull it off, despite the horrible odds!

Gotta love that, Halo is so epic.

***Spoiler Warning***

He doesnt die in this battle. He is assumed dead by the people of earth, after the explosion, but the game actually continues on from there. Frankie said that the diorama only depicts a small string a battles in the actual game and only represents about one level. The people that created it actually have no idea how halo 3 ends. As for the diorama, it looks amazing. Kotaku has some up close pictures of it in the gallery below.

I actually like this better than the first... no voiceover, and when the camera zooms in on MC - goosebumps.

I think MC's demise is all part of the marketing machine (e.g. 'Deathly Hallows' hype) to generate more mystique and attempt to dodge the 'brainless shooter' stigma.

If anything, part 3 will show the grenade in the Chieftain's mouth ;-)

Just like in an epic movie (e.g., Braveheart, Gladiator, Troy, 300), someone will die :(

Who all died in those movies??? Ahh crap the protagonists.

I really like them both, but this ad connects to me on a more personal level. Having read the books this brings a lot of questions to mind. "How did this brute get Master Chief in this way? Did they use a gravity plate trap like in the books? Did they hack his systems? Or was this just a case of Master Chief not being able to defeat the brute until he gives an opening?" I really love the "Believe" tag their putting on all of these ads, it's really cool.

I believe. I believe in you Master Chief.

I Believe

I don't think I've ever been more inspired by something in my life...

I'm waiting for the criticism from all those who think that may be sad... But it's the truth

I Love Bungie... I Love Halo... I Love the Master Chief

This a contagious kind of Love and Inspiration...

I find myself with a huge smile on my face and watery eyes everytime I watch these believe ads

They're extremely well done...

If John dies... We die with him...

I agree Fontez, I've been watching this videos numerous times throughout the day! lol

Remember a while ago when someone here posted that we can't really connect with MC on an emotional level, cause we really don't know "him" and all he does is shoot stuff up?

Well these ads are pretty much summing up what Bungie wanted MC to be, a hero for humanity and someone we can have hope in. I feel like Halo 3 is doing a better job connecting us emotionally with the MC, whereas in the previous ones it was a kinda hard too. I can't f'in wait! Believe.

gotta agree with TORO he hit the nail on the head, and if they can really push the emotional connection even more with the new spots and halo 3's intros and cinematics then the game will be a HUGE success (as if +1m presales isnt already lol)

You're right TORO...

In fact !!

It's specifically how we DON'T know him very well that makes us care about him soo much...

He doesn't ask for any help, he doesn't question anyone, he doesn't hesitate, he doesn't talk much...

He is simply a man who has been given this gift...

The opportunity to become a Spartan... And now he's using this gift to protect the weak, destroy the evil and ultimately save humanity...

I must say though... These believe ads are REALLY strengthening all of the biblical and historical references I've been piecing together, especially with the whole aura of light surrounding his body... Very reminiscent of Jesus Christ and a Savior in general...

If the movie ends up being ANYTHING like these ads, it'll be amazing...

HELL it would be my favorite movie if it was just Believe ads all strung together for 2 hours lol seriously

Who's to say this is the final battle? This could be a battle from earlier in the game. Maybe when MC first arrives back on Earth he lands in the middle of the sh!tstorm of a battle.
