Losing players and their abilities sucks since I like being a completionist. It sucks when it comes in Pokemon that I can only have 4 moves. So having those abilities transferred when they bite the big one is OK.

I'd rather just have the characters be playable again at the end I think. Part of what was nice in FF4 was that the characters couldn't become "uber carbon copies".

I suppose if only certain characters can learn certain moves it might be ok.

Anyway, Rydia went and become all "hot" somewhere along the line.

Thanks for ruining the gameplay of one of my favorite games by letting ninjas heal, mages fighting, and paladins stealing, like all those awful crappy modern rpgs with no strategy or whatsoever. sigh.

at least we get better graphics... *sarcasm off*

Wyld: Welcome to Square Enix's Wonderful World of Ruining Your Favorite Games. And people want *more* remakes from them?!

For the record, I'm one of the three people who actually didn't like Final Fantasy IV all that much, but changing the ability system in this way is outrageous.

I for one welcome this addition to the game. Cecil was so much more helpful as a Dark Knight in that game than a Paladin and it would be nice to have the Darkwave move on him again.

I liked Cecil's Dark ability...but having other character abilities is like cheating. I think just about everyone will make the characters all have white magic to Cure.
