U know what I thought it was getting out of hand to but then I realized highly publicized movies and music artist have this type of exposure all the time so maybe its not the marketing thats out of hand its the fact that a video game has never had marketing like Halo 3....So Halo will open the door for a lot of other games so they will have highly publicized releases also.

Stan Winston is doing a trailer for Halo 3? That could be kind of cool.
Opens with a shot of a military vehicle breaking down in the backwoods. Inbred hillbilly mutants then kill the soldiers using superior backwood tactics (and store them for dinner). Pelican flies overhead and out dives Master Chief. Cut to hillbillies starting up in slow motion as Master Chief's silhouette is outlined against the sun. Then WRONG TURN 3.

I agree that for the first week it will be a better place because all the morons that keep telling me I should get it will be in their house playing the thing and leaving me alone. Not the Internet people because I can basically ignore them but at my job and college they keep asking me if I'm going to buy it. And when I tell them no they look at me like I just told them the sky was brown and it was raining turtles. I guess they can't fathom the fact that some people don't like the game so their brains shutdown it's kinda funny to watch. But then they start listing the reasons I should get it and how great it will be until I just get tired and walk away leaving them babbling to themselves.

I'd vote for Master Chief...
Unless he was up against Gordon Freeman.

Hmm, Gordon Freeman as president? "President Freeman, what will be your first action as president? ... President Freeman? ..." It'd be interesting having a president that doesn't utter a word. :)

I'd vote for Gordon Freeman any day, because if I cut my moustache back down I look just like him, and then I can steal his identity.

WHOA! Wrong answer buddy. NOTHING can get the drop on Chuck Norris. Nothing.

I'm not a huge Halo fan, but anyone who's willing to knock Chuck Norris despite that terribly annoying internet fad gets a plus from me.

Chuck Norris's tears can cure cancer. Too bad he never cries.

Will Wheaton is corny, and a terrible writer as well.

Halo 3 overhyped? Haven't heard of it. ;)
Mind you, the US voted for Bush twice so you can't really blame them for liking Halo when they voted their amazing President in for a second term.
It makes sense why Halo is so popular once you realize how dulled that country is.

LMAO, funny as hell.
Oh yeah, the 2nd Believe ad is now up in different lengths on http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/h/halo3/believe/ . The official Halo 3 site has also been relaunched with a interactive on-line version of the diorama used in the ads. Pretty cool marketing stuff IMO, regardless if you care about the game or not. ;-)

The guys at Bungie must have attended the Walt Disney School for Making Sure You Advertise on EVERY-FUCKING-THING. Unfortunately, they market through Burger King and don't have the heart to sell some fucking Kids' Meal toys.

You mean Microsoft marketing peeps. I doubt the folks at Bungie spend much of their internal resources on marketing.
