Little LocoRocos, you're so happy, you make us happy, too. We love watching you bounce and squish. Oh, to tickle a LocoRoco would make us burst with joy. We'd explode with rainbows, of course. (That's a mildly NSFW link, all you weekend laborers.)

Sony's PS3 LocoRoco Cocoreccho! "interactive screensaver" um, thing will launch next week in many parts of the world. But the Sixaxis might not let us pet the little creatures. Cocoreccho! isn't quite a game, and we're still not quite sure what it is. But this newest trailer at least annotates some of things players can do, while the earlier video left us guessing.

Watch the cuteness after the break, or imagine it on a crisp HDTV with the direct HD feed.

it's a psp game

i haven't played it either, looks fun though. too bad psps are expensive

psp is $160, only 30 dollars more than the DS.

Great game. I play it on the demo psp at my work on breaks.

It is a fun game! It's really creative and has much to offer. The only let down for me in the game was the cutesy music. It drove me crazy!

You should play Loco Roco,Is awesome.

I wish it was harder and a bit longer.

loco roco is a really fun and addicting psp game, and the controls are easy to get into, geared toward casual players.

Ahh Bullet Hell! I don't care if they're not bullets there's too much stuff going on and I can't keep track of all their locations.

Loco is great and I'm looking forward to a full game to come to the PS3 next year...which I can remote play on my expensive PSP.

Personally I think Loco Roco could make an Excellent Ps3 System seller(I'm not talking about the screensaver) if Sony colaborates with Loco Roco Team to create a 3D Loco Roco game for the PS3.

I'm thinking in something between Mario Galaxy and Little Big Planet,yeah that would be great.

I think De Blob is the closest that you're gonna get to that, but it's only coming to the wii and ds.

It looks like Loco Roco but not quite but I have to get it first,I might rent it for the DS.

Really Loco Roco? I mean I know it's a good game. But a system seller? Hardly.

Not in it's current state but Imagine Loco Roco like a 3D platformer a la mario galaxy using the sixaxis with the PS3 grpahics.

Loco Roco is a unique game which is great for sony since most of their stuff feel somehow generic,like Daxter or Ratchet and Clank both awesome games but they don't feel unique like Super Mario,in fact Jak and Daxter or Ratchet and clank are hardly system sellers as well.

I beleive Loco Roco could be a Heavy hitter if it had the chance.

BTW That ATHF clip is more related to Manhunt 2 actually because that's how Manhunt 2 got the "M" rating and why rainbows appear everytime you kill someone.

Actually from now on we must use that clip everytime someone mentions manhunt 2

and upz, its from the twilight zone! its supposed to be animated (look me up on gametrailers to see it), but it wont play here so it just shows the first frame.

I agree that Locro Roco might have some racist undertone in them. I mean they do have the round big red lips and big white googly eyes. Reminds me of some characters of black people being decipted in anime:

1. Mr Popo from DBZ
2. Jynx from Pokemon
3. The black guy from the R.R army in dragonball.

I think you're reading into that too much. Mr Popo couldn't possibly be human, Jynx isn't human at all, and Commander Black was only racist in that name, (although all RR officers had color names)

Khan- Doesn't matter if they are humans or not. LocoRoco's aren't human but it looked so much like Blackface that Alejandro Quan-Madrid decided to write the article. Popo, Jynx follow the same image. Human or not, looks like Blackface. Probally not intended, it's not a big deal to me, but the image surfaced many before.

Gah! Do we move the world, or the damn butterfly?!?! I have yet to get a definite answer. Either way, if it's under $5 US, I'm getting it. I absolutely loved Locoroco on PSP, and this one should be fun as well.

I don't quite understand the whole interactive screen saver thing either. If it's for when the console is idle, well then that's just stupid. But if it's for load screens then that's awesome. Other wise why would you ever play this "game" when it's supposed to go off WHEN YOU'RE NOT PLAYING ON YOUR CONSOLE.

Most people have come to assume that that the LocoRoco play about when you don't touch the game (much like flOw).

Even if it did though, I would still rather this boot up that have F@H pop up every 20 minutes trying to "cure cancer". The audacity of it all...

why can't you fold in the background while also playing this game? i thought the cell was supposed to be able to multitask or something

While the use of blackface characterizations is never acceptable, I don't think that Loco Roco has any racial overtones at all.

Loco Rocos come in all colors, including yellow, green, red, pink and black, so if anything, Loco Roco is a multicultural video game!
