Completely unimpressed. What from the demo couldn't be done on the xbox? When I thought of 360/PS3 next gen systems, I thought of better physics, improved AI, and destructible environments. I saw the fighting in the market and I said, who cares if its in a market, the environment has no impact on the fighting. Why not throw crates, tear down the overhangs, etc. Then, we get rockets firing at walls, yet the walls take no damage. As an atari gamer, I remember when next gen meant something.

To reply to posts above, who cares if PS3 owners only got a remake of the first. If its good, its good. Is this game improving upon the formula? Is there anything different about NG2 other than new backdrops/enemies?

Looks exactly like Ninja Gaiden on the Xbox to me.

I'm sure that my rose-tinted memories have something to do with it.. and like most HD games, it doesn't look anything special in a low res clip or on a low res tv.

Still, the environments look pretty much like a last gen game. Maybe the characters are more detailed, but at the speed they move its really hard to tell.

Not knocking it, i'm sure it'll be great, and NG was one of the best looking games of the last generation... but it didn't wow me.

God you people are lame. I have two points that need to be made right now.

1) MS is publishing this game. Think of it almost as first party at this point. MS published games receive lots of resources, so it is a good thing for 360 owners.

2) Itagaki and Co. are not exactly "milking" this franchise yet. I mean, they did a few versions of the first one, but this is really only the second title for the franchise if you don't consider all the 2D stuff back in the day.

3) This game looks really cool and will almost certainly be tons of fun.

Guys, this a demo version of the game isnt it? It will probably run smoother and look better in the final version. I love Ninja Gaiden, now even more of a reason to not get a ps3... god of war is good, but ryu hyabusa would cut his head off.

Two things, the game is still work in progress so don't judge it just yet since its release date is literally months away. Lots of time to polish up those graphics.

Secondly, Tecmo have always supported the systems from microsoft with their DOA and Ninja Gaiden Series. Seems pretty obvious which is their system of choice, pretty much like Konami with the Metal Gear Solid Series.

Ive got both and i work in a game shop (gamestation) Gamestop to u US guys and the common reaction is xbox for now ps3 for the future. Also we have up to 7 xbox's rtn each week, not to down the 360 they have just taken advantage of sony's absence and its paid off.
