Pimp your Wii with Talismoon's new cases

Talismoon has launched a new line of new Wii cases that are colorful, shiny and ninja-tacular. Eight models are available with colorful names that remind us of Legends of the Hidden Temple. (We can hear it now: "The Red Ronin is located deep in the Shrine of the Silver Monkey.") They include:

Green Tanto
Red Ronin
Silver Shuriken
Pink Geisha
Sapphire Nodashi
Blue Bushido
Black Katana
Stealth Assassin

The cases are now shipping for US $39.99 and comes with all the necessary tools for installation. Talismoon has also produced a video advertisement for the cases that's nothing more than a ninja flipping out and killing people. It's embedded after the break.

The silver one would be cooler if it didn't have that crap-tacular finish. It's it's going to be mirrored it should at least show a clear image. They need to polish their dies. :P Black might be cool, but I'd rather see a review first.

You seem to hate the Wii and the 360, so I have a question for you... what last gen system was your favorite? Gamecube, Xbox or PS2?

The problems is, I read some commnets here from PS3 fanboys, saying that the Wii is so weak and thats why it cant be a hardcore machine, and that the hardware is so last gen. But that people os the same that used to be a PS2 fanboy, and the PS2 was the weakest system last gen. I mean... every multiplatform game was a lot better on the Gamecube or in the Xbox.

thats Sony fanboys for ya Fernando, i think most of em don't even know that the PS2 was the technologically inferior system, just like most of em talk about how Gamecube was in 3rd place last gen when that was just in N.America Worldwide it was in 2nd place and it made more profit than PS2 and Xbox combined theyt never acknowledge those facts.

I got the XCM black case on mine. Looks pretty cool. Installation was a little difficult, and now about once a day, my Wii actually turns on, then ejects the disc. Could be a ghost though........

I modded mine with the black case and it would eject the disc all the time. If you pull back on the buttons a bit, you shouldn't have a problem. I also use the cradle base and it hasn't done it for a long time.

Those pictures just don't do anything to help show what sort of quality these cases are. Until someone can prove otherwise, it's just POS to me. Is someone brave enough to take the leap? I'm actually pretty curious despite my aprehension.

Black is a great color especially if you own a Black DSL like me but I'm going for a Red wii or a special edition wii with SSBB yet it would be better if Nintendo released a Wii that looks like a classic NES.

There was time when those transparent color plastic cases were cool now they look plain cheap in fact back in the day those cases looked cool for about a week or two and then you realize how ugly your (Name system, Console, PC) looked.

If any I'd pick Black Katana with the red LEDs for the slick looks, But the rest are pure fugliness. I still wouldn't want to mod my Wii anyway. If it breaks who pays for my VC games again?

Hmm all the N64 emus I know that run under Linux are basically crap and I still prefer playing a console with guaranteed gameplay over something (semi-)illegal that MIGHT work (ever get a corrupted ROM which crashes after you're into the game for 20+ hours? -talk about going insane). Imho Ocarina is so much more fun with a Gamecube controller than with anything I've tried on the PC. And I've already spent that money. I wouldn't throw away cartridges if I got them just because I could get a free copy for PC. Maybe when my manufacturer warranty runs out I'll mod the Wii but right now I have no intent to. Modded my XboX1 but it's not like you get that much of an advantage out of the Wii whatever you do. But that's just my opinion.

Well there's little incentive for someone who already owns a Wii to go out and buy another one simply because it's in a different color. That makes for how many millions of people that won't be buying a colored one when/if they come out? These case mods are for those people that already have a Wii.

Don't get me wrong. It's a great idea. I'd MUCH rather have a black Wii to match my other components. It just seems like a poor implementation.

I just desperately want to be proven wrong!

The way the Wii is selling we should get coloured Wiis in about 3 years.

As soon as sales slow down too much Nintendo will release the cool colors and the special DVD Q Wii system.

I wonder if their use of a pic from Sony Pictures' "Memoirs of a Geisha" for their Pink Geisha case was an intentional jab or not. Either way, if they don't wanna get sued for copyright infringement, they better re-Photoshop another pic into that background.
