if you buy stock, you are a part owner of a company you can look at, with financial information you can review and votes you hold. it's like splitting a pizza. a pizza with dividens. so it's not the same as monopoly money, which actually is tangible but is worthless if nobody plays with you.

This his hilarious in numerous ways;

1) it's mind numbingly easy to get back the account if he wanted

2) the fact that you sold one of the best rogues in the game was broadcast over the internet, and blizzard will probably ban the account instantly.

3) you could of spent less just paying a guild's GM to take you along to BT and kill Illidan until you got the weapons :P

If the account was suspended/banned, I hope it serves as a lesson to people not to spend their money on stupid shit.

Tom me though, this shows that the Korean MMORPGs hav it right... they should release the game for free, but then use OFFICIAL micropayments (and macro ones!) for bonuses and better equipment.

People are obviously willing to pay for the cooler stuff and better characters... so why not switch to an OFFICIAL economy, and then the games company gets some or all of the profits???

There's always going to be some people too lazy to achieve anything themselves, who have more money than sense but assuming that everyone who plays WoW would remain if the game took the money-grubbing is probably not something Blizzard is willing to mess with.

There are reasons the people playing WoW aren't off playing some cash-happy knockoff and maybe the fact that WoW isn't a game where the guy with the biggest wallet is king, is one of them.

7,000 Euro (approximately US $9,700)

If this avatar haves both Legendary swords dropped by raid boss Illidan Stormrage, as well as 4/5 of a Tier 6 armor set.

That means this guy have a played day count on about 300 days AT LEAST.

9,700 divided by 300 = 32,333
so this guy got $32 per day.

Tbh thats a very shitty salary for 24 hours "work"

:O we are talking about a lose-lose situation.

As for despising guild wars, how about the part where you have to faction grind like 10000 faction points just to advance to the next quest. The culmination of this being kill about 5000 of the same monster over and over and over and over. This was in nightfall, and I heard they have faction grinding again in the new expansion.
