I thought I read that the biosphere had been seeded with Flood? Maybe you have to fight the Flood too, or all the dead players are re-animated.

That would be annoying though.

This sounds like a really good map, I can't wait to play it.

Bungie described it as "an isolated biosphere which has been seeded with the basic Flood organism", so guess the surprise has something to do with the Flood.

Also, in the screenshots from that level, they show the Infection gametype. I was hoping in Infection, once you became the zombie that you would change to the Flood character type, but it looks like your character just changes color. Becoming a Flood character would be awesome.

Anyone notice one of the pictures has status displays near the bottom left about "infecting someone" and "becoming a zombie"? Maybe thats the special feature that they're talking about.

Whatever it is, it sounds interesting, to say the least. Can't wait to see what it is and whether it will be fun or not.

Yeah, I think X3F should post a 'story' (not really a STORY, per se), and ask fans WWUBP? (What Will You Be Playing?)...Halo 3 Campaign or Multiplayer first?

If this comes to pass...Dustin..Richard...

let me cast my vote for multiplayer. I'll backbill this quickly; I never felt at home in any of the Halo 2 multiplayer maps, and the fact that so many people knew the layout, the location of each weapon and it's respawn time, all of the different game types within multiplayer...I was always pwned. I won't say I didn't have my good days, but the bitter truth to me is that Halo 2 multiplayer got stale for me fast.

WITH THAT SAID...
I rocked the Beta. Hell, somehow I even got into the Eurogamer Halo 3 Beta video documentary by happy accident! I want to really do well this time around in Halo, and to do so, I need to do my homework ahead of many people. I know and have memorized Snowbound, High Ground and Valhalla, but I'm chomping at the bit to play 'Long n' Lean (I forgot the new name for that one..the bridge..), Isolation..and Guardian for starters.

The Halo 3 story in the campaign will keep me entertained for a long time, but for me, Halo 3 will be a party/after-work pub game. "Hey..after work, u wanna play some Shotty Snipers on Valhalla?" That sort of thing.

Thank you for drinking, and we appreciate your support.

I've been trying to avoid all Halo 3 info after playing the MP beta (Didn't play much of it). I can only hope they have a Zombie game mode. ZombieMod for CS:S chewed up lots of my free time.

I don't know why, but that pic reminds me of the gorilla exhibit at the San Francisco Zoo a little bit.

The cool part is there's a secret tunnel right at the back on top of that forerunner structure...

If you fall in it takes you through a slimey flood tunnel and through this gross flood door that opens up like a wind pipe in a lung... And down to the underground flood section of the level

There's a few flood fungus bubbles but I haven't tried shooting them yet I've just been looking around... I'm assuming they burst and unleash about 7-10 flood spores...

It's a pretty damn good map

well they show a picture of a white fungus or egg but to me it looks like that nasty white crap that grows everywhere when the flood infest an area. flood infested map should = nasty white stuff that grows in flood infested areas. logical thinking here people nasty flood=nasty flood gunk
