I only read one other Future US (http://www.futureus-inc.com/) mag, Maximum PC, and I love it. So, I doubt this would hurt NPower, maybe it will be even better. I also bet this is the start of demo discs coming with the magazine.

Nintendo Power can't be hurt by this! It's always cool to get Nintendo news and stories so how much could it change? I'm not worried. There are a few different things I'd like to see with the magazine maybe this is an opportunity to tie loose ends.

Future seems to publish so many other magazines, I'm susprised they weren't the publisher before.

They publish official Xbox Magazine, so there might be hope for demos.

I really like the current format of Nintendo Power and the current writers. I would be disappointed to see them leave.

Either way, I will continue to subscribe and (as someone above mentioned) I hope this brings forth the possibility of demo discs!

I recall a rumor about Nintendo Power no longer being published in-house arising a few months ago. I guess it was true. It would suck to have all the writers leave the job, unless they all are offered to stay on and just re-locate to Future's offices.

Yeah, I read MaxPC too and it's awesome so I think Nintendo Power will be in good hands. Hope to see the "Kick-Ass" award on games from now on lol. Actually, I don't think they do that in their other magazines, and anyway publisher is kind of a broad company that oversees many unrelated magazines.

I bet the former Nsider forums will follow the magazine. Dropping the Nsider community was probably just a move by Nintendo to dump some of it's extraneous responsibilities.
