Readers pick best webcomic: prescription meds

Scott Ramsoomair's VG Cats has caused more than a few commenters to overdose (har har) in dismay, but nonetheless it was the voted the best game-related webcomic this week.

Second place goes to Hijinks Ensue, followed by Three Panel Soul in third. We're awarding Ctrl+Alt+Del an honorable mention since we should have put them in the running but subsequently overlooked them in the selection process.

I was rather partial to the Penny Arcade! Halo 3 comic, it should've been up instead of the Heavenly Sword one...

Naeem, you take Mario too seriously. I lol'd at it. The other ones were witty, but that one was funny - i loved Luigi with the foam. nice

Do many people over the age of 18 enjoy VGCats? I'm not trying to start a flame war; I'm serious. It seems like the only people I know who even talk about it are on the younger side.

It certainly has its moments. Sometimes the jokes are a bit too base, but overall a good comic, not the best nor my favorite, but good.

I'll admit I liked the VGCats but here is a quick formula for VGC:

1. 1 or 2 cats experience an everyday situation from a game
2. Situation becomes more extreme, no real consequence
3. Situation becomes sickening or fatal, blue cat dies/pukes/bleeds everywhere.

It is important to give CTRL-ALT-DEL honorable mention, since it subsequently honors better comics like PvP Online and Penny Arcade, where they pull the material from.

Plus, who doesn't love a cartoonist who sends inappropriate pictures to under aged girls!
