Rumor: (A) Kingdom Hearts game slated for DS

Way back in May, Square Enix's Tetsuya Nomura said the company faced a difficult decision about where to send the next Kingdom Hearts title. When faced with choosing between the DS, the PSP, and mobile phones for your multi-million dollar franchise, what's a company to do?

Clearly, they should make multiple games -- not just multiple versions -- and cover all the bases. Rumor has it that there are three different Kingdom Hearts games in the works: Kingdom Hearts for Playstation 3, Kingdom Hearts 0 for PSP, and Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories 2 for the DS, which we assume is a follow-up to the GBA title. As rumors go, this one seems pretty viable, and we anticipate confirmation within the next few days ... unless Square Enix has an entirely different game afoot when it comes to this franchise.

How about a Wii version. Although I would get tired from all that key slashing.

Multiplattformrelease seems logical, I just hope the DS Version won't be as dull as the Gba one was, yeah the Gba one was nice, but nothing more, some decent 3D Graphics, 3D Battles and a good Storyline would reach to make me buy this (FFCC showed that it should be possible on the DS with ease. Further said, the DS uses Cartriges and the Developers have the Act Imagine Code, lot's of good DS 3D Engies are available too, so I think there would be no need to do this game in 2D. Just thinking of this game as a gap filler beteween KH2 and KH3 makes thinking of this title in 2D impossilbe.

Hmm... good Idea, I thought about a Wii version recently too, but I guess like you said, swingin around the Wii like mad may result in broken TV's.

Anyway, no matter what, IF Squareenix does a KH on the DS aswell, I hope for them that they are well prepared for a hard work, cause this WON'T be a EASY cash in for them.

Nintendo gets slapped with a KH card-battler yet again? I understood why this was done on the GBA, but it's strange and uncharacteristic of Squeenix to back-pedal on their confidence in the DS's ability to handle a full-fledged 3D game given what lengths they've gone to with the FF remakes. I've never quite been into KH as much as others (played most of the way through the first one but the cliche dialogue and overall emo feel overpowered the solid gameplay and drove me to quit), but I can't help but feel disappointed.

Why would it be called Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories 2? Sora only lost his memories due to Namin�, and as far as I can remember, no other major character in the KH universe has been memory wiped...

Also, I really hope Kingdom Hearts 0 isn't called Kingdom Hearts 0...
