Holy shit! That looks amazing! I just hope that once you have the DS in front of you, the pre-rendered sprites won't look "tacky" like they used to in previous generations.

I'm trying my hardest not to get excited about this because I have a bad feeling that it's never going to make it out of Japan. I don't know how much the average DS game costs in Japan, but ASH's 5800 yen price translates to $50 USD, which is likely because of the increased production costs from the cartridge having double the normal memory. The RPG market outside of Japan is already small, and very few of even these devoted fans would be willing to pay $50 for a DS game, I wager. I certainly know that the $40 price tags scared me away from FFIII and Heroes of Mana. I would absolutely pay $50 for this game because it looks so mind-blowingly good, but, unfortunately, I don't think we're ever going to be given that chance.

You guys [at DS Fanboy] have totally made my day with this news, especially with the gameplay videos. Thank you for all of the great coverage. You've really stayed on top of this game the whole time.

I'm likely going to just import this sucker and worry about the cost laterz.
