Dig the review! I love this game, and feel the same way about it: it has certain faults but it knows where its strengths are and promotes them. I totally agree with your score. And I sound like a suck-up. I'm just saying because often I am at odds with reviews and their decisions, but this one agrees with me like a smooth-ass chocolate cake. Fifth Cell could do something along these lines with a little more platforming elements (something, gameplaywise, between Mario and DKC, for example) with some crazy twists and have a real classic on their hands next time around. The art in this game is beautifully done to, I think, a lot of the time. I am really enjoying the 2D Renaissance we are experiencing on the DS and soon on the Wii.

Well, being a veteran of a somewhat similar game (Graffiti Kingdom for the PS2), this review just cements the fact that I'm going to buy this game. The only problem is that I need money =P

The game is super innovative. Drawing to life is great. But then the "game play" itself made me feel like I paid too much for the game :-(

Great review JC. I fell in love with this game over the past weekend. It's very simplistic and a bit repetitive at times but the fun factor overshadows those flaws to make for an enjoyable experience. People should give this game a fair shake to see its shine as a diamond in the rough.

Wow. Eight? I'd only rank it 6 and a half, and I quite enjoy it. If the "main character" didn't end up so crappy looking, maybe that would edge it up to a seven for me, but I couldn't see saying it's any better than that. I drew in a wicked sweet MegaMan Zero character, and it looked like ass in-game. Everything else works nice though, drawing-wise. Especially my ripoff Air Tikki "clouds".

drawn to life is not such an original game. if the drawing element would be left out, it wouldn't be worth more than 5 outta 10. but the drawing lifts it up to at least an 8. this is the very first game where you can draw your character goddamn!!! by the way, that pyramid head is funny.
