How come blog posts always refer to the sole writer as "we"? Is each blogger speaking for all of the X3F staff?

@2 - I always wonder that even more on larger sites like Joystiq. Sometimes I find it hard to believe several people all have the exact same opinion on a game, for example lol.

I'll have to cleanse myself for reading the second paragraph! Yuck =p

10 is for gameplay. He gave a 9 for Lifespan, 9 for Sound??? Sound is pretty much the best I've ever heard, and I'm only speaking about the beta. And Lifespan, all you have to do Famitsu is go to Bungie's website and check out how many players are still logged in 6 months from now.

Anyways still pretty good =D that could only mean that the Americans will give rave reviews to H3

Hmmm... perhaps this justifies some of the hype. I better run out to Target and grab a few cases of Game Fuel before they're sold out.

I find it strange that they say "we" as well on these blogs. Do you actually ask your co bloggers first before publishing such facts?

Maybe for x3f its a bit better cause theres only like 2 or 3 bloggers, but I hate whent theres a joystiq post saying something like "gemoerty wars is our favorite game" "We would pay 1200 MSft points for it" Did that blogger really ask every other blogger if that were true or is that mearly what he thinks and just throws "we" in there?

@6 - I'm not sure what you mean by all of that... Unless I'm misunderstanding you, the four scores are from four different people. They're total scores, not just for graphics or sound. So one guy said it's a 10/10 and three said a 9/10.

Famitsu's crack-smoker-high Gundam reviews last year ruined their credibility forever.

Yeah I remember asking the same question about the "we" thing here/joystiq and one of the blog posters told me why. Can't for the life of me remember, so apparently it wasn't a good enough answer.

Well put this in perspective:

IGN gave Blue Dragon a 7.9
Famitsu a solid 9

Now if Famitsu is giving H3 and Blue Dragon the same scores, well IGN will probably give H3 umm about an 10?

It's good news nonetheless, cause Halo3 hators should begin to realize that this game is actually very good.

On topic: A score of 37/40 is pretty damn high for Famitsu and even more so because it's a FPS, not to mention one created by western developers.

Famitsu has credibility where gamespot and ign do not with their Def Jam: Icon score of 21/40. I can't believe that game got such a high score in the states.

Keep forgetting to mention that Gears of War got a 37/40 as well, same as Halo 3.

Im a one of japanese, living in tokyo. I love Halo series and fps gamer too.
I just let you know that 'no one living in Japan belives Famitsu's review at all' Cuz they dont know what the latest games like and how fun western games. Their reviews are always irrelevant and full of domestic liking. I believe they dont play a whole game, just check them for few mins and say duh this game sux, this game has good graphics, this music rocks etc etc. So we just watch and say 'uh Famitsu sux again lol' everytime they write review any kinda games. :P
