Do you think a lean, green electric sports car can take on a noisy gas-guzzler? In discussing the invitationals planned for Project Gotham Racing 4, developer Bizarre Creations used "Electric vs. Petrol Showdown" as one example, where you in the Tesla Roadster face off against a Ferrari Testarossa.
Can full, unadulterated speed be met without exhuming fossil fuels? It should make for a fun, philosophical monologue while you maneuver around corners. We do warn you, though, that beating the Ferrari in a race may lead to an excess in smug emissions.

@Joystiq
If the face-off is against a Ferrari Testarossa, why did you post a picture of a Ferrari F512M?

The Testarossa had pop-up headlights, a square grill, and different mirrors.

Methinks a 355 or an F430 would have been a better comparison as well.

Personally, I'm more looking forward to taking a DeLorean out for a spin. Yes, that's right! They put a DeLoearn in this game! There's even an achievement associated with it, called "88 MPH"! How sweet is that?

It's an arcade racer, so both vehicles will perform identically.

Have you played any of the PGR series?
Granted, it's not Gran Tourismo or Forza, but each car definitely has its own characteristics and handling. PGR is a sim/arcade hybrid, so while you can run into a concrete wall at 180mph with no casualties, the brakes that you should've used to avoid that wall would've responded fairly realistically for that particular car.
Whichever car is faster/quicker in real life (Tesla or Ferrari) will probably be reflected in PGR4.

off topic, but does anyone else think that, sans the MGS4 trailer, this is a fairly slow news day?
The calm before the storm, i guess

The Ferrari may be faster, but that Tesla has to have amazing acceleration; electric cars almost always do.
