Swagwatch?: Metal Gear Solid 4 loot from Konami's press meeting

At Konami's pre-TGS press conference, attendees were given a collection of intriguing artifacts which ranged from bizarre to chucklesome to really pretty cool. A bottle of Konami and Winning Eleven branded water is promised to make you fit, healthy and beautiful, just like Konami's upcoming games. Apparently.
Another priceless relic included in the bundle is what appears to be a dishcloth with the Konami code written on it. Just in case you needed to remember it whilst drying the dishes. Our favourite item, however, is the Metal Gear Solid 4 artbook which includes a whole bunch of concept art, photos of Kojima himself and stills from the game. There's some text in there too which, we're sure, is incredibly interesting to those who can read it.
Check out the gallery below for photos of the swag, including some close ups of the book.

konami save your breath. you're in the all massive, all encompassing shadow that is halo. announce your game on the 360 or nobody cares.

Shush...I would prefer to play MGS4 to Halo 3...but one comes out at a completely different time so it is all good.

Really lounge monkey? really? I love MGS, from the early top down NES MGS (I believe it was NES) to the amazing Snake Eater. Great plot and acting, less funn gameplay compared to splinter cell, but a far more engaging game than splinter cell could ever be. MGS4 looks a bit too crazy for my taste though. I realize MGS has always been over-the-top crazy, but like I've said before enormous flying cows with digestive problems is too far.
Personally, I like MGS better than Halo, but Halo 3 looks better than MGS4 to me. I 'm still gonna save for a PS3 though to get a hold of MGS4.

Truly, Halo 2 was such a let down SP wise that I am not that hyped for the game (even though it looks 10x better storywise, I dont want to let myself get excited). Plus the MP has been over run by obnoxious kids swearing and being general pricks.
Personally MGS is way higher on the want list, but that doesnt mean that I wont be buying H3, next Tuesday.

I'm trying to scape together enough to get a PS3 and reserve MGS4. I seriously love MGS, but I don't know I just wish the trailers got me more excited to play it. I can't take some of the stuff in them seriously, and that's coming from a long time fan of the series. There is such a thing as too over-the-top, and that's MGS4. Doesn't mean I won't give it a try at least.

seriously, just get a 360 if you want good games..NOW. sony just promises and promises, there wont be a single good game on the console till at least 2008. and we all know mgs4 will be on the 360 by then too.
"Konami has no plans to bring Metal Gear Solid 4 to the Xbox 360 AT THIS TIME," a Konami representative told CVG..."

For Konami's sake they better hope they start giving out some great swag. MGS has been one of my favorite franchises until watching the trailers. Needs less cowbell
Mr. P @ Sep 19th 2007 6:52PM
Have you seen the MGS4 trailer? Looks to be the greatest fucking game of all time. I would gladly pay another $500 just to play it right now.
Vegnagun @ Sep 19th 2007 7:12PM
I've seen all the trailers, hence the reference to cows.
hedgehoggy @ Sep 19th 2007 7:29PM
I still have a can of "Snake Meat" from E3 a few years back when they were promoting Metal Gear Solid 3...
Yum.

Dude,
Adjust the White Balance setting on your camera. All cameras allow you to do it. There are settings for different lighting sources, sunny, cloudy, incandescent, florescent etc..
