This game is being developed by the KH team and I have faith in them not to create a Dirge of Cerberus. Can't wait for the game to come out so that they can get to work on KH 3. That is unless they are developing both at the same time...

Now I have a dilemma. I WANT to play Square-Enix's games. But if they continue their policy of releasing Sony system exclusives, I won't be able to. I refuse (on principle) to buy a PS3 ONLY for Final Fantasy and MGS4.

With the 360, I knew Halo 3, Bioshock, Gears of War, Oblivion, GTA IV, Chromehounds, Fable 2, and MASS EFFECT were going to be on the system eventually, and most of them exclusive.

With the Wii, I knew that Mario, Mario Kart, Zelda, Metroid, and a LucasArts Wiimote Lightsaber game would eventually be released.

With the PS3? With Lair being teh suck, and Heavenly Sword lasting maybe 8 hours, I can only look forward to Metal Gear Solid 4 and Final Fantasy XIII (I don't like racing games so much, so I didn't include GT5). I can't justify a $500 purchase for 100 hours of gameplay.

Sucks, I know. Then again, they'll probably do a North American and European X360 port if PS3 sales don't pick up.

I'll just wait for that. Miserably.

I can understand this sentiment, but the truth is, we really only seem to hear of about 1/2-2/3 of what's coming on systems, the rest of the games just sort of wind up being unexpected surprise classics in a console's life (Ico, Katamari, Guitar Hero, Knights of the Old Republic) while others we wait for end up being sort of dull let-downs (Lair, Halo 2 single-player) and it's precisely the reason I don't get involved in lists and 'this is coming out' type things - it's all just hype, hopes and pipedreams, as we've seen in 'Lair' and the lack of multiplayer 'Metroid Prime' on the Wii.

If you love FF and MGS games, the fact that there are only those two might get blurred as they might be so awesome they would consume all your time for a while. I played Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory multiplayer twice a week for 18 months, one of the great values in my video game history... I would have payed for a sealed Xbox that only played that game! Surely some people will feel the same way about Halo 3.

So I wouldn't write off the PS3 as a 'two game' system, but remember that we don't know the future, we only know lists and excited reviewers' previews. And of course, your other path might be an option as well - waitng for these games to come out for the 360, albeit later of course, but that didn't stop people from enjoying Oblivion when it was released later on the PS3.
