TGS07: new Devil May Cry 4 gameplay footage [update]

Update: In last night's frenzied blast of news posts and inundation of press releases, we grabbed the wrong Devil May Cry 4 trailer and, on top of that, made some extremely noob-ish observations. Here is the correct one, embedded above, showing new gameplay footage.

Firstly, everything in the trailer is actually real-time. Secondly, there aren't two Dantes. One is Nero, one is Dante. Thirdly, I want to bone that brown chick.

any game with subtle (not DOA) breast physics gets a +1 from me. apparently the uncanny valley has no effect below the neck.

the trailer looks great. i liked the rag doll enemies.

Any video with heavy music makes the game look badass.

I've never played the series: what is it like? Twitchy spazzy? Fluid combos? Extremely cinematic? Repetitive? TELL ME.

I think you need to rectify that right now:

Start with the third one but first accept the fact that it's difficulty level *will* make you weep like a sissy girl. And when it throws you the bone that is easy auto mode, catch and chomp on it like your very being hung in the balance. Don't make the mistake so many others have done before you and let your foolish male pride spur you on to dismiss the offer.

You'll be able to pick it up for pennies now. Don't even consider the extra cost of the special edition, the core gameplay and storyline remains unenhanced thusly it's not a worthy purchase.

There are a small number of games that capture the essence of what it means to be a cool, ruthless badass of ninja/pirate proportions. This is one of them.

No way! Try the second one... the third one is just stupid. I don't care games that are diffcult, as long as I don't need to replay the whole level if I die. Playing DMC3 is like typing a big text in Word and when it's done it crashes and you realize you didn't save it.

I'm probably in the minority who thinks God Hand is better than DMC, at least when it comes down to which game is actually more *fun*.

Joystiq really needs to improve the quality of it's bloggers (or perhaps have a "blogger-in-chief" that reviews items before they're posted). I think the only thing that's correct in this post is that this is a trailer for DMC4. While not "in-game" the footage is clearly real-time "in-engine", not pre-rendered. As stated in several of the comments above, Dante is fighting Nero, not himself. And finally, "the devil may cry twice" is not a pun (it's not funny or clever either). I realize that this is just a blog, and not a "real" news site, but at least try to get your posts correct.
