TGS07: Squall joins Final Fantasy Dissidia line-up

Angsty teen star of Final Fantasy VIII, Squall Leonhart, can be spotted in the no-cameras-allowed screening of the Final Fantasy Dissidia trailer. The CG trailer for this PSP brawler showed Squall going head to head against Sephiroth.Fans of Squall will be glad to see his oh-so-dreamy good looks again. However, many other Final Fantasy regulars will now want to consider picking up Dissidia simply for the opportunity to beat up the "pouty jerk."

Except that the magic junction system was absolutely horrible. And yes, Squall was a whiny little bitch. Also, he chose Rinoa over Quistis, so clearly, he's also insane.

I don't hate Squall nearly as much as I hated Tidus and most of the cast of FFX.
At least I bothered to finish FFVIII.

LOL, Squall was not whiny. He just didn't get along with others. Squall was a stronger character than Cloud. He took no crap from no one even a girl.

I just can't stand to read comments about squall such as those (although it's pretty common XD). Have you played the game or read the text? He has a reason to be like that, and he isn't a jerk the whole game you know?

Everyone had a hard life (everyone was an orphan, if you recall), but they didn't grow up to be douchebags.
And he's a jerk for a substantial portion of the game; enough so that one wonders what the hell Rinoa and Quistis see in him, since he returns none of their affection, and instead acts like a dick.

It wasn't because of being an orphan, it was because he didn't want to attach to anyone anymore after Ellone left the orphanage. He tries hard to suppress his emotions so he can grow without depending on others, but in the end he isn't able to.

How did squall get screwed as a Whiny bitch when he didn't care? how does that equal weak I saw cloud bitch more. And when an issue arose he was the only one in the game and compared to cloud pulled his blade and picked a fight. All the people who are whining because he is a "jerk" ain't making you look much better. Mabey its because im military and it is a military/adult style game I liked it some much. "OK KIDDIES OUT OF THE POOL TIME TO GO PLAY WITH FAKE CATS IN VII!" At least Squall had a military tactical how to kill the best and easiest way out look on his (COMBAT) situations. Just wish I knew hoe COMBAT=WHIMP?

I really just don't get why people say Squall is a bitch the whole game. One of the thigs i like about this game is the reality of the characters. Squall just happens to be in the non-common part, but people like Squall exist in the real world, just like there's hotheaded Zell's in the world. people react differently even when they have the same problems. that's what's so real about this game. people who say Squall is a jerk are jerks themselves cuz they discriminate people who are like Squall...
and an other thing i like about ff8 is how Squall starts to change cuz of Rinoa, and if you've played the game, then you know it's like that. Squall even kisses Rinoa at the end, (course they don't show it but we all know he does.) and Squall turns out to be quite the great leader and friend when he starts depending on people which is why all the cast members depend on him. I think thats what Rinoa see's in him, and if you recall, she tells Squall how much he hated him at first.

Anyways long post but what the hell, i just really hate it when people say Squall was a bitch/pounty jerk when in the end he ends up changing and becoming quite an awesome man.
