Maybe it's just us, be we love games with samurais and old men stopping swords with two fingers. So to say that we're intrigued by this trailer would be putting in mildly. Also, why is Yakuza in feudal Japan? The last time we checked it was about urban gangsters. If Yakuza 2 features some sort of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III time travel hi-jinx we just got even angrier that we haven't played it.
There, in the distance, is a Yakuza 3 trailer

Yakuza's find their root in feudal Japan. Even the term "Yakuza" originates from that time period.

the original author needs to remember the non-japanese versions of the game are called Yakuza. the original Japanese name is Ryƫ ga Gotoku which means "like a Dragon". so while the name makes little sense in America, in Japan it would be okay.

It appears the origins of the Yakuza date waaaay back (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yakuza). So it makes sense. Since Yakuza Members (especially the high bosses) are passed through generations of their families it makes sense that this game plays out to the ancestors of the characters of the Original Yakuza game.
I am desperately awaiting Yakuza 2 here. According to Wikipedia (not a reliable source though) used to say it was coming out this fall. But there is nothing to back that up. I think "some reporters" need to start asking Sega some questions. This would be the last PS2 game I buy if it were to come out in NA.
