Red Octane has confirmed to us that the Xbox 360 version of Guitar Hero III will be $99 and include a wireless guitar. The question was up in the air of whether they would bundle a wired guitar like Rock Band, or pass along the extra cost of Microsoft's proprietary wireless license to consumers -- it looks like Xbox 360 owners preparing to rock will win on both fronts. Furthermore, Red Octane went on to say, "All platforms will be bundling wireless guitars and the prices for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions are set at $99.99 while the Wii and PS2 versions are $89.99."
So far we've been very happy with what we've seen from Red Octane's new guitars. It's also nice to note that the wired Xbox 360 controller retails for about $60, so getting a wireless guitar plus the new game at $99 actually ends up sounding like a really good deal. We're happy to know that Red Octane and Activision took the route of consumer friendliness on this wireless guitar deal.

And I'd also expect the plug and charge kit wouldn't work because of the contoured shape of the pack itself, unless the devised some way of making it fit flush...
10. For Xbox 360, will the play and charge kit work on the new Les Paul wireless guitar?
The play and charge kit will NOT work.
That's from the official GH website, posted in the FAQ forum by an administrator. The post(posted below) has a lot of Q/A's that will answer most of your questions...
I dont know whats the point of having an useless console like the PS3. Every multiplatform game always is better on the 360.

Okay Fernando, we get it. You don't like Sony. Go play your Wii and leave us alone.
would you get a life and stop stalking the guy with the weird hair just to leave insulting comments. It is the height of hypocrisy to critize Fernando Rocker's comments about being pointless, when yours is equally as pointless.
P.S. I know this is also a pointless post i dont care, I get wound up easily.
Questions...
1. What exceptional games on PS3, ACTUALLY make it worth purchasing?
2. What multi-platform games are ACTUALLY better on PS3 than 360?
3. Do the online communities seem equal?
4. Which is more expensive?
The Answers: None, None, and No, 360 is by far better, and PS3 is even more expensive.
So flame on, you Sony fanboys, and continue to waste your money.

i think you miss read, i ment the wii zapper has 0 buttons. sorry if i misscommunicated =)
Or, perhaps the Guitar IS cheaper, but the GAME is more expensive, due to licensing fees.
Guess the truth will be found out once the game is released, and we see how much they all cost seperately.
Does that include Nintendo DS version? Or the PC/Mac versions?

My choice has been made for me, I do think that the prices are a just a little bit higher than they should be, but not enough to have me not buy it.
Oh, and the way I see it, they "justify" the Wii price with rumble and speaker functions. Again, prices are just a little bit too high.

But I'm in a bad way because I want to run GH3 on a next-gen console (360 or PS3), and not PS2 (which I have 2 guitars for already).
How can I get both Rock Band and GH3 on a next-gen console and use them without having to buy both the Rock Band and GH3 guitars? Anyone know?

There is a couple companies trying to release adapters so you can use any ps2 controller on 360, but those are just in prototype stages.

This would be a good idea, also it would work on Mac/PC too, which would be nice.
Maybe this is how GH3 avoids the $10 tax per guitar.
