The name Juno Eclipse is just terrible, the first name is fine but the last name sucks.

Richard, how can you forget the Star Wars Jedi Knight series. Especial Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast! That was a fabulous action game!

I'll be glad when George Lucas isn't making any more of his demands of what should be in a Star Wars game. It needs to have a comic sidekick? Why? Nobody like Jar Jar, nobody. When people who haven't lost their storytelling abilities can write their own Star Wars stories, that's going to be an awesome time for us Star Wars fans.

If they hit spring...it'll be a good game for the post Golden Quarter doldrums that we usually get.

Hell it'll be a good game period. It's just...you know this guy is doomed...remember Shadows of the Empire it was based between episodes V and VI and we all know what happened to the new characters introduced in that one.

Game premise of "kicking ass with the force" = mega win for all of us. I can't wait!

When taking Star Wars games into account, you obviously forgot Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight, one of the highest rated PC games next to Half-Life and Quake. Jedi Knight set a bar for first person shooters and to dismiss it and say that there hasn't been a good Star Wars game since NES just shows you shouldn't have an opinion on any game. Ever.

"It's just...you know this guy is doomed"

Of course we know that, but what we don't know is "Why?". Why couldn't this guy be part of that era? I hope they explain that well.

Can't wait for this game :D

Seems like they are trying to product tie-in to the possible tv series that is supposed to take place between the clone wars and the original trilogy.

They'll judge the popularity of this game and move from there. Hence the casting of real actors for the roles, so in case, the game is popular those actors will make the jump to the live action tv show without missing a beat.

My dissapointment is there are so many books based on the extended universe out there and none are being turned into games with few exceptions. I.e. Shadows of the Empire.

New Jedi Order?
Rogue Squadron? (something based on the books)

or even the Thrawn trilogy (though TIE-Fighter for the PC touched on it)

I'll still buy this game. Just to see how badly it messes with the canon.

I've been following this tech since they started showing demos a few years ago. Its the same stuff they're putting in the Indy Jones game. Either it's going to fail to live up to the hype . . . or they're rewriting how games get made.
Madden with real-time tackles? Action games with no canned animations? God-damn INTELLIGENT artificial intelligence?
I just have to assume it's not going to live up to the hype. This is the holy grail of games since forever, and if it actually happens I don't have anything to look forward to after that.

This post if full of lies, there are TONS of good action Star Wars games since Super Snes... Jedi Knight series, Rogue Squadron... hell, even the recent GBA/DS game was more than decent.

The game looks sweet.
But the Dark Forces/Jedi Knight series as also a quality extension of the SW property in gaming.

Yeah, Rogue Squadron was the shit. This looks pretty good man, I just hope it doesn't get boring halfway through due to lack of powers. I mean, the character should grow during the game, rather than start close to max potential, that way you can't wait to get the next kick-ass way to end some guy's shit. Looks good, hope it's multi-platform...

Power Battles for the PS1 was fantastic. Played through that game at least 4 or 5 times.
