Boys and girls, today's edition of What Are You Playing is brought to you by the number 4. Can you count to 4? Sure, I knew you could. What special things can we learn about the number 4 today. Let's see. 4, as in the number of players allowed in Halo 3's online co-op. 4, as in the number of cases of beer and/or Red Bull and/or tacos you will need to fuel your upcoming Halo 3 binge. 4, as in the minimum number of days you'll need to call in "sick" in order to maximize your enjoyment of Halo 3. 4, as in the number of days left until the release of Halo 3. See, learning can be fun.

Unfortunately, 4 is also the number of days that most of us won't be playing Halo 3. In other words, everyone but a select few (both sanctioned and unsanctioned by MS) will have to find something else to play over the weekend. So, what will you be playing this weekend, neighbor?

I'll be playing Halo 3, Geon, and completing Bioshock on hard difficulty.

Oops. I meant Halo 2.

I'll be playing some Nhl 08 and going back through Bioshock on hard trying to save all the little sisters!
My copy of Halo 2 got stolen about 3 weeks ago so while I'd rather be playing back through that I guess I'll just have to wait until Tuesday at 12:01 for my fix.

Gotta finish Bioshock! AHH!

why not try Call of duty 4. See what i did there.

Umm not too much this weekend, have a wedding today and in my culture we party all weekend. But Monday is right around the corner w00t!

CoD4 and Halo 2 omfg I can't wait to play Halo 3 i just saw a high definition intro omfg! sooo awesome!!!! unfortionatly pay day is oct 1st so you bastards get 5 days ahead of meh :D! but still cod 4 will vent my anger and envy!

Richard N'pals, remember when Mister Rogers visited the Crayola crayon factory? Or had Lou Ferigno on? Good times. I'm glad I'm a child of the 80's.

Anyway, I'll be playing mostly XBLA games really; Bomberman Live, maybe trying to finish CastleVania: SOTN with Richter.

Being the pessimist about these things, I don't want my 360 to brick up on me from disc drive errors this weekend. Besides that, I'd rather wait to get any sort of in-depth gaming going until Tuesday anyway.

It's all about Skate for me this weekend.

I'll be playing DiRT, and working on beating Stranglehold on Hard Boiled.

well i just bought a regular nintendo with 87 games at a yard sell, and every game i have tried has worked perfectly, so i guess im playing some final fantasy before i sell it on ebay, the old man said that his son used to play this box and has since left home many years ago...he was asking $25 for everything.
so ya final fantasy and old school marios i guess for me until tuesday!

Finishing up Forza 2. Have to download all the cars my buddy sent me and send them back to him...and then boost for the 1 million credits achievement and then boosting to finish off the ranking cheevos in Full Auto.

skate. CoD4. GH2. Bomberman.

As someone who has never been into skateboarding games, Skate. is amazingly fun. I highly recommend it to anyone interested or on the fence after playing demo.

I'll also play a little bit of COD4 demo but i'm getting a bit bored with it. And i'll be thinking of playing Halo 3.

Oh...and I already played through part of Halo 3 on my buddy's hacked 360 (yes yes, I know I shouldn't be promoting that...) and let me tell you. You WILL be floored by this game. It is absolutely BALLS INSANE and AWESOME. I have no DOUBT this game will pick up GOTY. a) It's amazing and has SO many awesome features. b) It'll sell TONS for MS, which is why they'll choose it for their GOTY.

I've been playing Blue Dragon, which I feel is quite a bit better than has been let on. It's not doing anything new, but neither are most RPGs in general. The battle system is surprisingly good, particularly as the game advances and things get added to it. Admittedly there's not terribly much in the way of story or character development, but as far as traditional RPGs go it's enjoyable.

I'm trying to get more achievements unlocked, doing that in Call of Cuty 3 at the moment. Also playing Battlefield 2: MC, Enchanted Arms and Halo (1)!

Juiced 2: HIN, Eternal Sonata, Gears of War and some Halo 2.

Well I'll probably finish up my season on The Bigs and try to wrap up Overlord. Both titles I have enjoyed a ton.

Ummm... Hoping to get my controller back (left it at home), which if not, going to have to trade in some games on Tuesday for a new one.

I will be doing no gaming with teh haloz. My 360 is dead and I am very pissed. Im really thinking about trading it in for a DS and waiting for M$ to put out a product that isnt this faulty. Damn am I angry. Hope you guys have fun (dont forget the DETHKLOK album comes out the same day you Metalocalypse fans!) and ill see you lot on the other side.

For a trip down memory lane, I'm going to go through Halo 1 & Halo 2 on lengendary to get my campaign skills back in order. Oh...I'll also be slurping lots of game fuel to get my body accustomed to the insane amounts it's going to get starting Monday at 7:00PM when we line up.

prob just keep playing NHL 08 through the weekend, and wait for the embargo to end at 12 am sunday morning.

I went out and bought the orginal Halo just to refresh myself on the story. I will be playing that and the COD4 beta this weekend.

I already tried Halo3 and was actually quite disappointed. Granted I haven't been a fan of the halo series but I kinda got sucked into the hype thinking that halo3 would catch up to my expectations graphically and gameplay-wise. Well it didn't... I'm sure most of you die hard halo fanboys will love it though.

I'll mostly be playing Eternal Sonata which I'm thoroughly enjoying.

I need to play Halo 1 and 2 this weekend just to soak in all of the story before Tuesday morning. Anytime I need a break I'll just play some online action. All this will brush up on my hand/eye coordination for Halo 3. Then I need to call all my friends and family and let them know I'm still alive. Then I need to buy enough food for a month because I won't be going anywhere once I'm called to FINISH THE FIGHT!! Can't wait!!! Halo FTW!!!!!!! =)

I have to agree with about half the people that posted...skate forsure. Its some of the most satisfying game play I've had in awhile. Unlike the Tony Hawk get a 2 million point combo, skate is actually realistic and therefore a much more fulfilling game

Fantastic Four: ROTSS. Got it from gamefly and I want to get some achievements.

I will be playing Halo and Halo 2. It's my first time and so far it's been fun and fascinating. I've been leisurely meandering through Halo 1 trying to savor and enjoy it, but the clock is ticking and I want to be all caught up by launch time. And I'll be working on porting Master Chief to the Etchasketch this weekend.

some rainbow six with my son, carcassone with the wife, and try to get a better mastery at puzzle fighter. never played it b/4 until u guys were talking about it (i think sensei). now im addicted and angry i suck so hard..ive never sucked at a game..

Halo 1 for PC, Halo 2 for Xbox, finishing up my 3rd runthrough of Bioshock, playing some emulator with the 360 controller. I'm keeping myself occupied or the anticipation will get to me. BTW, should I line up early on Monday night, or can I go to walmart at like 11:45est and get back an hour later? I haven't pre-ordered neither...there's also a gamestop and bestbuy nearby...

Guitar Hero II, working on 5-starring the last couple tiers on Hard.

Carcassonne, Stranglehold, Dirt, and maybe some Catan or Puzzle Fighter.

It's gotta be skate. baby!

Finished up Halo:CE Tuesday and I'll be spending the weekend working my way through Halo 2. With any luck, that'll keep me busy through Monday night. If not, maybe I'll troll the Arcade and see if I can get enough gamer points to hit the 25,000 mark I've been stalling around for the past 2 months.

The IRS just found me and garnished my wages for $17,000... The most frustrating part? No way I can afford halo 3 now. Why couldn't they have found me one week later? I'm crushed >_<

Guess I'm gonna spend the next few months perfecting my Forza skills and 100-percenting the rest of my collection now....

Not playing much of anything. Actually, I am looking for a component cable for my original Xbox as my release day 360 just came down with a case of RRoD and won't be well for some time and playing with my Wii is making me go blind.

Wow, I guess I must be a bigger Nintendo Fanboy than I thought (of late, I've considered myself console-agnostic). I don't give half a wet shit about Halo, so I'll spend the weekend finishing up Metroid Prime 3, and if I play that out completely, I might go back through BioShock on hard. It's kind of funny that my next "OMG-MUST-BUY" game is going to be Zelda for DS... heh.

Then it's TF2/Orange Box, Mass Effect, probably catch back up with Eternal Sonata (too busy to buy it now ;-), Smash Bros, Mario Galaxy... man, my wallet hates the holidays, but I love 'em.

I hadn't ever played Dead Rising, and I saw it for a little more than $25 used at a place the other day, so I bought it. I've been half sick half overworked since then and hadn't even had a chance to start it (Blasphemy I know!), but now it's the weekend. I've got a case of Heineken to keep me company as I chase zombies with lawnmowers... should be a good friday night! Also, Sonic 2 on XBL probably too.

I finally finished my career in DiRT but i got to go back and get some more achievements. Probably play some Bomberman, Geo Wars, Puzzle Fighter2. Oh, Crackdown, I need 21 more orbs but i cant find them AT ALL. its pissing me off.

Hopefully i get to play Halo2.

Well I got my 360 Pro w/ HDMI through that office depot deal, but now I need to get a TV with HDMI, haha.

Anyway, I'll probably play some FEAR that I got through gamefly and some Madden with my buddy online.

I'll be taking delivery of my shiny new HDTV on Saturday, breaking it in with various 360 and PS3 games in anticipation of Monday night/Tuesday morning.
One reason I'm glad I'm still into videogames is the occasional game release that makes it feel like it's almost Christmas morning.
