You simply can't barge your way through the throbbing mass of people at the Tokyo Game Show without bumping into video game characters which have somehow manifested in reality. Actually, physically bumping into them isn't recommended, as the ornate headdresses, gargantuan shoulder pads and razor-sharp hair is very likely to cause unexpected injury. With all the Clouds marching about the hallways of the Makuhari Messe center, you're likely to become trapped in a cosplay iron maiden* if you're not careful.

*Due to creative cosplay, "maiden" may in truth be "man."

I'm amazed there's an Ulala cosplayer there. There hasn't been a new Space Channel 5 game in ages. There's Hal in PSU, of course, but she's a rather pale facsimile, if you ask me.

No, he's right, I see better-looking asian girls here in San Diego, but I bet its just a fluke with these pictures...guess the photographer prefers chubby faces, heh.

Anyway, isn't it helarious how in the reflection in the mirror you can see swarms of middle-age men with cameras taking pictures of the teenage girl?

Amazing. It never ceases to amaze me the dedication of some cosplayers. Almost feels like the video game/anime/manga characters came to life, or we have entered their worlds.

Bonus points for the Ace Attorney cosplayers, M. Bison cosplayer, and Ulala cosplayers.

Great costumes, is a shame they don`t look as good as the characters in those costumes.
By the way why every one says Japanes girls are hot? all they look anorexic to me. And many of them are not really pretty, comun pretty we can say?

Hey Joystiq...If you guys took these pictures, can you make sure you take FULL body shots if possible, head to toes. Cutting off their legs, whilst leaving about a foot of empty glass space above their heads isn't very good photo-taking. Footwear in most cases is an intricate part to a costume, and leaving it out is not cool.

Anorexic are you kidding? It's no secret that some countries like the US and UK have huge obesity problems. People are naturally thin when they don't over-eat and do a bit of walking.

The only remotely attractive one is the Space Channel 5 girl though.
