"Enemy Weapon" is the better of the two.

Has Bungie revealed their surprise that was to come out before Tuesday yet? I wasn't sure if I had missed it or not.

"But then Luke messes with our heads mentioning that Bungie will reveal a "long awaited pre-launch surprise" sometime before September 25th. How dare he dangle such a large carrot in front of us."

Arbiter: "Master Chief... *I* am your father."
John-117: "Nooooooooo, it's not true! It's IMPOSSIBLE!"
Arbiter: "Search your feelings - you KNOW it to be true! Join me, and together, we can rule the galaxy as FATHER AND SON!"

Two great ads. "Enemy Weapon" was definitely the better of the two; gave me chills. The marketing for this game has been done amazingly well.

I do find these adverts very powerful. I am really excited about getting my Legendary either Tommorrow or Tuesday.

I don't know why they are doing adverts like this - just show the friggin' game and tell people when it's out. Why are they advertising to people who already know about it?

As much as I love Halo, I think these Believe ads make it too "real" and I don't think I like it all that much.

One reason I really like this ad campaign is that, well after we've all Finished The Fight, these commercials are still relevant. Hell, they could be MORE relevant!

Just when I tought I was done with the Believe commercials, Microsoft hits me with one yesterday. Okay, no big deal. I update the blog and append the entry to my masterlist of commercials.

Then, today I find out they released ANOTHER one. Time to update the blog and masterlist again.

Not to mention that Joystiq seemingly had the name wrong.. Cry.

Wanna know why they don't show the gameplay? Because the driving force behind this game are not visuals, but the story line. And these commercials highlight that. VERY well if you ask me. They separate Halo from all the other video game commercials.

I can appreciate why people like these adverts but I haven't seen an advert on TV that, if I had never played Halo - would make me want to play it. It's good that MS/Bungie are looking after existing fans but is this a sound investment from a business perspective? They're spending money that doesn't need to be. I don't mean to be a killjoy, I just think of things from that angle. Devil's advocate if you will.

The "Spiker" freaked me out when he turned it on. Old soldiers holding a weapon like that freaks me out. And it looks like that thing is about 80 pounds. I hope brutes arent real and come to our earth.

******Possible Spoiler*************

I believe that Master chief dies.....There I said it. I think he dies cause I mean look at these commercials it's basically spoiling the game for us..if he does not die then something happens to him and with these "believe" commercials it's pretty much telling us that.

I just think these commercials are so well done, but I'm wondering if the old guys they have in them played through combat evolved and h2 so they could get a feel for that. I'd love to run into these guys on XBL.

@18 it has been said somewhere that the team that created these commercials did not know the story for halo3.

Personally, I cannot wait for Finish the Fight, but for the past few years I have felt that although the hints, trailers and advertisements are really good, The amount of times I got excited about Halo a few years in advance is enough to drive people crazy...

Bungie have really raised everyone's hopes; the game had better be worth the amount of time people (fans and game creators alike) have put into it-I would hate to be disappointed.

On a better note, I can't wait to see the Arbiter, I loved his addition in Halo 2; the idea of Master Chief and Arbiter taking out Truth, or some Brutes, or every damn enemy... Very exciting prospect.
