Not me. The last game I ever pre-ordered was Halo 2. I remember waiting in a 2 hour line at midnight while my friends who didn't pre-order had already picked up the game and were playing it before I made it to the cashier. Not this time, 7-11 here I come!

For a game this big I can't imagine shortages. I'll take my chances tomorrow. Between Wal Mart, Zellers, TRU, EB Games, Best Buy, Future Shop and the dozens of other possible sources I'm sure I'll find my copy somewhere.

I got mine from liongames.com for $40, plus I had a boring Wii game I traded in to them. So I got the regular edition Halo 3 for something like $18 after shipping!! WOOT!

I Pre-ordered the Limited, and now there is rumors of scratched discs abound on the internets.

Already paid in full a month or two ago for the Legendary edition at Gamestop. I'll be there tonight at midnight, and possibly earlier for their Halo tournament.

While I never really played through Halo or Halo 2 I don't think I can miss out on the biggest game of the year so I'll be picking up a copy tomorrow at any local store that has it in stock.

Preordered the Limited at the same time I cancelled my Lair preorder. So, about a month ago, relatively late to the party I guess.
Since I'm not going to go out at midnight to pick it up, I'm just hoping Gamestop actually keeps a copy for me. Too many horror stories...

Preordered my Limited edition about a week ago off play.com
Worrying news just hit though, apparently the LI are having a nasty case of disk scratching, there not secure in the box and the metal case is wrecking them. Also heard it's a fake rumor started by haters but i don't know for sure.
Hopefully I'll get my copy tomorrow and can see for myself, will be very upset if it is scratched though.

So I lost my wallet, pre-ordered Halo3 off Amazon, then reported my card lost assuming the Amazon charge had gone through. Turns out they ding the card when it ships, so now I have to wait a few days for the new card so I can put in the new number. Argh. But it's cool. I'm still working my way through Halo 1 for the first time so I can wait. I'm at this really frustrating bit where I have to snipe all these dudes on the run or else I get blasted by the bad guy flying motorcycle thingies. I don't have the lingo down yet, obviously. Master Chief is up on my site though. Picked a good shot from 1 in case I decide to do a series.

I don't preorder anything.... ever. If there's shortages your preorder WILL be sold right out from under you leaving you in the same situation you would have been in w/o the preorder.

I actually just pre-ordered mine on Saturday. I actually pre-ordered two copies, the collector's edition and the legendary edition.
Of course though the legendary is for me and the collector's edition is for my brother.

Emailed to today to let me know that the Halo 3: Collector's edition has been sent so it should be with me either tomorrow or Wednesday!
It only cost me £40, so it was the same price as the normal edition and I think the legendary and collector's edition is sold out almost everywhere else.
And my friend happened to be one of the lucky ones to grab a copy in Argos last week. Problem is he doesn't even have an Xbox 360!

I don't get why people pre-order except maybe so they can pay on it like a lay-away. Otherwise, you know there are going to be plenty of copies. Just walk into Wal-Mart and buy the damn thing. This isn't a console launch, people!
