1) Out of this World (aka Another World)
2) Flashback: The Quest for Identity
3) Shadowrun (SNES or Genesis versions)
4) EVO: The Search for Eden
5) X-COM: UFO Defense
6) Lode Runner: The Legend Returns (the 1994 PC version with 2p co-op and a level editor, but now with 4p co-op or 4p vs. and a level editor and wi-fi would be the best game ever)

Chrono Trigger obviously, or Chrono Cross if they could squeeze it onto a DS cart ...though neither of those really need touch- or dual-screen.

Oh, and Mario Paint please!

I know I mentioned this the other day, but porting PS1 RPGs would be absolute win. Off the top of my head...

Vagrant Story
Lunar: Silver Star Story
Parasite Eve
Guardian's Crusade
Grandia
Wild Arms
Persona
Tactics Ogre

And, sure, why not: Eff Eff Vee Eye Eye.

...and I'm sure that there's a ton that I'm forgetting.

Probably being the last fanboy of these games, I'd almost kill for Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee and Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus to be remade/ported.

I was gonna suggest Midnight Resistance, but damn, flashback / another world (both on one cart would be nice) would definitely make me smile. Especially if they had new content.

Punch-Out!!

An all new 3D version of Punch-Out plus included in the cart:

The original Dual Screen arcade versions of Punch-Out and Super Punch-Out
The NES version of Punch-Out

The 3D version could have all new opponents plus a few classic ones, (perhaps Soda Popinksi is older with a white beard for example) The extra buttons could add some new offensive and defensive moves.

As for stylus functionality, between each round you could use the stylus to heal your fighter's face. Use end swell on swollen areas, Q-tips for nose bleeds and apply pressure and Vaseline over cuts within a time limit - kind of like a mini-game in itself that determines how fresh you'll return for the next round.

Create-a-boxer and ranked wifi vs. matches would be nice as well.

Faxanadu: I loved this NES game when I was younger, I actually thought Nintendo developed it back then. The premise of climbing up the world tree was pretty cool as well as the dark/comical aspects of the game. I just think it would make a great adventure game.

Wizards & Warriors: I'd like to see a third person top-down perspective (similar to a Baldur's Gate) with tons of character levels, items randomized maps and bosses plus wifi multiplayer. Presented with cartoony graphics and feel of the original Wizards and Warriors.

Snatcher (could any other game be so perfect and so deserving of re-release?)

Lucasarts adventure games; Sam & Max, Monkey Island 1 & 2, Day of the Tentacle... Sigh... If only.

Remake or sequel? Perhaps those are kind of the same thing in this case.

I would say Pilotwings, Kirby's Pinball Land, Donkey Kong 64, Galaga, Star Tropics, Lunar, Clockwork Knight, and I'll stop there. I would probably go on forever.

I'd also like all the GBC Zelda games (both Oracle games, and Links Awakening)

Oh, God bless Rubang B for his suggestions of X-Com and Loderunner!!!

Come on! It's not that hard for them to remake X-Com and Loderunner! People would be running out to purchase DSs just to play these games again!!!

Game developers: are you listening to this?????

I really think that Mario Kart DS and Yoshi Touch & Go should be remade for the DS, in much the same manner that Castlevania 64 got remade for the N64 in the form of what wasn't even enough of a change to be worth repurchasing the entire game.

Remakes, talks of remaking Total Recall the movie. And that is a super obscure Total Recall screenshot.

You played on an Atari ST? Hats off to you...that's not exactly what I'd call a mainstream platform.

I can't think of any old games from the 80s that I'm looking forward to being remade. Not that I don't love them less. I miss my old floppies of Sword of the Samurai, Day of the Viper and Psychic War.

Zillion - for starters you could use the touchscreen to draw the symbols of the canisters in each room so you remember them when you go to unlock the door (and they could have the computer screen show up on the touchscreen too, so you can manipulate the symbols with the stylus). Plus it's a combination action/adventure/platformer with a puzzlelike quality - the kind of combo game that's doing so well on the DS nowadays. And it's about time Zillion had a new game.

Considering the DS appears to be a Nintendo 64 in portable form, this might be a good place to start:

http://www.metacritic.com/games/n64/scores/

Personally, I wouldn't mind being able to play Paper Mario and/or Wave Race WITH EXTREME PORTABILITY. I also concur with the commenter who suggested Flashback.

Smash Bros 64 update with multiplayer and maybe a few new characters would kick ass.
Mario Paint would be awesome, too.

Also, any sort of old-school beat 'em ups or brawlers. I want to use the stylus to actually tap/hit enemies.

Metroid II. It was my favorite game for a long time. But the old Game Boy version just doesn't fit next to Zero Mission and Super M. anymore.
