Destructoid posted this news with a Top Gun photo as well. I would have gone the Iron Eagle route myself.

I'd like to thank Joystiq for supplying us with photographic proof that Tom Cruise was a normal human being at one point in time.

Well it has Tom clancys name attached to it, it has to be realistic, so if my PC can run it, it might just be an instant buy (because I realistic air combat)

This is great news.

But will there ever be an online PC dogfight game as good as XWing vs TIE Fighter?

I thought the Freespace series was pretty decent.

If I had a proper joystick (my last one uses a serial(!!) port), I would still be playing it.

Though you are definitely right about X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter.

Not to be confused with Namco's PlayStation game of the same name, that spawned the popular Ace Combat series?

Hands down the most uninspired video game naming job to ever grace this industry! Air combat?! are you serious? You mean we get to blow things up while defying gravity?! Thats FANTASTIC! Please tell me thats just the Ubisoft project code name.

I hope the story uses real countries. I have never cared for Ace Combat's stories.
