Readers pick best webcomic: friend or foe?
Did you ever pass / receive "do you like me: yes or no" messages in school? No? Oh well, Spider-Man did, according to Tim Buckley. His Ctrl+Alt+Del strip took top honors in this week's webcomic wrapup.
Second and third place to go to Penny Arcade and VG Cats, respectively. Thanks to everyone who voted, and be sure to let us know of any game-related webcomics you stumble upon this week!

PA is usually great, and the comic was funny but there was no joke. It was just a picture, then a circle around one character while the narrator curses at you. wow that's a hard comic to write.
I could write the EXACT same comic, except in Guild Wars saying KILL THE FRIGGIN MONK FIRST
I could write the same comic except in Sonic 2 saying DESTROY THE FLOATING PLATFORMS FIRST, ASSHAT
you see? Theres no joke. The joke is "most people don't realize strategy X"

It makes more sense if you saw the final round of the Omegathon at PAX. Enjoy!

Personally, I had voted for Hijinks Ensue. But seeing as how it isn't one of the major comics (PA, VGCats, or CAD, etc.), that makes it near impossible to win, right?

The comic plays off of how students would pass notes between each other in class.
Is kinda like the "Find X" joke,He circle "or" since the paper said circle one not circle the option "friend" or the option "Foe".

Yeah, CAD focuses on its own characters more...and its own characters are funny. He normally doesn't need to go outside the CAD universe to be funny, which shows his gift and talent. If you haven't actually taken the time to have read it over the years and be familiar with the characters though, I suppose I could see why you wouldn't think they're funny somehow. It's how most comic strips through the years have been done though, they're thematic with a set of familiar characters. Constant random errata shot from the dark can certainly be funny too, but the potential for humor isn't as easy nor as frequent.
This particular strip received a glorious makeover over at /co/ on 4Chan. The usual method is "Remove the 2nd and 3rd panels from Fuckley's strips to make them funny," but I find even that usually fails.
The strip is anti-humor.
