Kane and Lynch dated, strikes November 20
We liked our time playing Kane and Lynch at E3; unfortunately, it appears the Gods That Be have given the title a rather arduous gauntlet. Eidos is bringing the title to PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on November 20.
As if the holiday lineup wasn't crowded enough, this particular week will also see the deployment of BioWare's much-ballyhooed Mass Effect for Xbox 360 and Naughty Dog's Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. We're not saying Kane and Lynch has a death sentence; it's a fun game from the makers of Hitman that has garnered enough interest for a movie deal. But the competition will be fierce.

Wow... That is one tough week to release, well, anything.
tmacairjordan87 @ Sep 26th 2007 6:45PM
i can already see kane getting lynched by mass effect
(yes i know that was bad :P)
Ska Oreo @ Sep 26th 2007 6:46PM
oooh man, it's either this game or mass effect. I'll probably buy Mass effect and get Kane and Lynch on gamefly.

Kane and Lynch is one of those games that looks cool, but everyone's going to wait for reviews anyways. If the game's fantastic, I (and others) will probably find a way to fit it in their budgets. If it's a turd, it'll go the way of Stranglehold and MOH:Airborne during the Bioshock release.

Not I! I've played every game IO Interactive's made (not _that_ hard a task to accomplish, they've only made 5) and they've consistantly blown me away. I don't expect any less from them with K&L... at this point they're one of the 2-3 developers I trust enough to be willing to check their new game out without needing a demo or review first.

I don't know what the general opinion about the game is but to me it looks like garbage as a 360 owner. Mediocre at best.
Not visuallly...the trailers and the graphics have looked great. Just the enjoyment factor is whats lacking to me. I don't see anything unique or interesting about the story or game as a whole.
And the fact that its coming around Mass Effect time doesn't help its chances either.

This November is going to be a coronary for people's wallets
damn

So Kane and Lynch are gay? I totally couldn't tell. =P

i don't care if 2 great games are released in the same week or 2 months apart. i was already planning to wait for the metareview of this game though, i might just wait to buy a used one from ebay
greetdeath @ Sep 26th 2007 8:02PM
lets not forget that Rock Band supposedly comes out on the 20th as well.
AoE @ Sep 26th 2007 8:54PM
um... woo? Are people who are in the market for a shoot-em-up or rpg the same sort who want a rhythm game? I suspect it can release that week and not muck up any of the mentioned games' sales, and vice-versa...
blooh (CDF - Ass Ring) @ Sep 26th 2007 9:13PM
what kind of pussy doesnt like shooters and guitar hero/rock band?
also, if you say the f-a-jee word, your post gets auto deleted now :(
greetdeath @ Sep 26th 2007 9:36PM
I would definitely be buying Kane & Lynch on launch day but Rock Band is the alpha and omega to me right now. I'll play FPS until I die but playing Rock Band...it's just too amazing not to drop my money on. I'll be laying over $200 bucks like it's nothing and K&L will be going on some sort of Christmas list.
Secura @ Sep 26th 2007 8:19PM
I'll take Uncharted over any of those, thank you.
Myke @ Sep 26th 2007 11:03PM
I like this game but I rather buy HAZE and Time Crysis4 instead.....
Sean @ Sep 27th 2007 12:15PM
This game looked pretty weak when they featured it on the 1up show a few weeks back. Army of Two looks much better as far as co-op experiences go.

This is SUCH A GOOD GAME!! I LOVE IT!! It seems so real … its like if its a legendary story or something …
