PSN update: US gets NBA 2K8, Europe gets new Folklore demo

For US PS3 owners, in addition to an assortment of free trailers, we have demos for Clive Barker's Jericho (which also came out today on the Xbox 360 and PC) and NBA 2K8, a new vehicle for Motorstorm dubbed the Castro Capitano ($0.99) and Speed Master feature for Ninja Gaiden Sigma.
European gamers today got some Warhawk and Heavenly Sword wallpaper, a quartet of new Motorstorm vehicles (£1.49 for each pair), the Ninja Gaiden SIgma Speed Master pack a demos for Sega Rally and Folklore (this is a different demo than the one previously released).

Anyone tried Clive Barkers? Any good?
I saw that was on Live last night, but I only had enough space for the Pro Evo Soccer demo.... ;)

Its dark, really dark. I get lost in battle. Graphics are ok to meh.

just curious, matt b, which is better: "ok" or "meh"? i vote "ok" is better.

Delete some of those pictures you have, you know, those David Hasselhoff ones.

NEVER!!!
The Hoff has a permanent place in my box..... erm.... perhaps I should rephrase that?
Geist @ Sep 28th 2007 1:42AM
Too late Matt. The Hoff is in your pants.

I'd insert a lolcatz comment, but I'm much classier then that...
*though I DO have a Hoff in my pants.... hmmmm....*

Wow, what game is that screenshot from? I thought it was a real picture before i looked a little harder.. That game looks gorgeous.
lawlersauce @ Sep 27th 2007 10:04PM
i believe that's folklore

Gives me hopes for the future of gaming, you know, the whole "making things look realistic but not creepy" thing.
colin @ Sep 27th 2007 11:41PM
are you serious? yes it looks great but photorealistic ... no way, looks like barbie got lost in the garden multiplayer map from gears.
PT Cruiser @ Sep 27th 2007 10:10PM
I think that's from Folklore.
rruss79 @ Sep 27th 2007 10:25PM
While Folklore is a pretty game, the camera and gameplay aspects give me pause for the full game. Also the game is very linear where you pretty much cannot go anywhere but forward.

I totally want her outfit.

Though I know it'll get slightly-above-average scores from the critics, I'm looking forward to playing FOLKLORE. It's one of those "sleeper hits" that obviously won't get the hype of HEAVENLY SWORD; but'll still be worth a rental - or in my case, a purchase.
Mr Khan @ Sep 28th 2007 9:25AM
I would agree. Folklore is a neat looking title thats really sliding under the radar (then again, Uncharted is going under the radar IMO, and its supposed to be the PS3 flagship for the year)
Mr. P @ Sep 28th 2007 10:20AM
There was also a Japan update--lots of PS1 games and a Bladestorm demo (which is nearly impossible to play correctly if you don't understand Japanese). Also, the Folklore demo on the EU PSN isn't new. It's just an english version of the Japanese demo released months ago, which is great since it provides much more story details than the US one.
Brad Lee @ Sep 29th 2007 4:45PM
Folklore is one of the only PS3 games that has me intrigued. The game just looks so very... interesting... and purdy.
