Street fighter?, Don’t take me wrong SF was great back in the 90´s but Capcom ruined the game by releasing pseudo-sequels after pseudo-sequels. I mean while games like Marvel vs Capcom 2 and Street fighter vs SNK still feel fresh mostly because Capcom didn’t released sequels (this of course raging fans but keeping the mentioned games in a valuable state) Street fighter feels too tired and unexciting I mean until know they decided to change the effing sprites something that they should have done in the Ps2 and PSP (Maybe PSone).

Still a great game for the xlive maybe if the controls feel ok a must have but nah it shouldn’t be with the mentioned games.

I don't think Lost Oddessey would have worked, I think they are talking about games to be released this year in the U.S.

They explained MGS 4 at the beggining and Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles is a light gun game.

Well, its odd that they included Mario Kart Wii considering that far less is known about that title than either Assassin's Creed or MGS4

I agree with many of your statements, though perhaps not so vehemently. The story was poor, not because of the story itself, but because it seems Bungie is incapable of communicating a plot through anything but cutscenes. It's cutscene-run n' gun-cutscene-run 'n' gun ad nauseum. I'd like to paraphrase Zero Punctuation's thoughts about Bioshock in this regard: Though it may seem like a fantastic game to console players, for PC gamers who have been spoiled by much better offerings (for example, Deus Ex and System Shock 2, off the top of my head), it's merely a decent game, and at times not even that. But of course, opinions are like assholes etc etc.

Just put the assholes you don't want to play with on your blocked list.

Yeah, that's the funny thing about fantastic technology that connects people in new and amazing ways.

You won't get a refund, but at some point in the future, you'll get a Halo itch that needs to be scratched and you'll head on to Live for some multiplayer.

Not everyone on Live is an idiot, but even the gamers with manners are liable to bore you to death with details from their lives that you don't care to hear.

Im new to Halo, and I find the campaign (or single player mode) to be pretty fresh. A next gen FPS that isn't trying to scare you i.e. BioShock, Doom III. The Halo story seems intriguing and the enemy AI is like nothing I ever faced before. You should give the campaign a try instead of jumping head first into multiplayer.

I was pissed to see they anticipated Simpsons over Zelda DS. A couple of the games listed aren't even playable yet!

it really is great. i love the beta, except since matches are hosted randomly by players the connection isn't usually too good. maybe they improved the netcode for the real game, even if not it's still playable, but not optimal

that's the only main complaint i have, it's very fun

I'll do what a wise poor gamer does then: wait for my friends to get the game and check it out at their homes before getting my own copy. xD

Cuja, either you posted this as flamebait or you think Wii is last gen. Or you may just be a Play$ellout since it's the general consensus that Lair sucked ass. They deliberately excluded MGS4 BECAUSE it doesn't have a release date. I'm going to reply to this on the off chance that this isn't flamebait.

10] As I said before, the Wii is anything but last-gen. I should know; I have one. While Mario Galaxy doesn't tickle me that much (read: I don't plan on buying it), it sure is impressive for those that it does.

9] I'm not a conventional fighting buff, but for those that are, this remake of Street Fighter 2 might be of interest. Then again, I'm not so hollow as to be a graphics whore, really.

8] You don't seem to think Turok is flame-worthy; I won't comment. Then again, the only true FPS I played happens to be UT2K4, so yeah.

7] The PSP hasn't been so hot; then again, compared to the sun that is the DS, it's hard to compare. Dracula X Chronicles just might give it the helping hand it needs.

6] Again, I have no comment because of my limited FPS experience. But I'm not a graphics whore, as I said before, so no Crysis for me either way. That's two FPSes you seemed to not hate.

5] Just like the PSP, the Simpsons haven't had many good games. The Simpsons Game looks like it might change that.

4] After having played through 64 and Double Dash, I know that Mario Kart has something good going for it. After the success of Mario Kart DS, bringing it to Wii would be a logical next step, and if multiplayer's as hot as the DS version was, look out.

3] JTFC, man, you diss Contra?! That's going to have the old gamers up in arms. It's clear you are a heathen who doesn't appreciate old-school gaming goodness. If you have a console with an archival library available to download (or an emu), download a Contra game NOW and see how gaming goodness used to be; that way you can appreciate Konami's effort to revive that goodness in the here and now.

2] As I said before, I'm not a conventional fighting game fan. That said, I played through Classic, I smacked down Melee, and I'm frothing at the bit for Brawl. As they said, Nintendo's got so many franchises that they made a franchise out of beating up their franchises. And quite frankly, with the following Melee built up and the ability to go online, Brawl will undoubtedly rock the holiday season. And you call THIS last-gen? Your opinion as a gamer no longer counts.

1] You didn't argue COD4; I don't argue about FPSes due to my lack of experience. But this confirms that you are one of two things - an FPS lover or a graphics whore. If you're the former, good for you. If you're the latter, deepen your soul before visiting these boards again.

The list is incoherent without at least one of the big rhythm games (GH3 or Rock Band), Mass Effect, and possibly Orange Box.

I have to disagree... I loved Turok 2.

CoD4 isn't made by the same devs that did CoD3, it's being developed by the same people that CoD2... and CoD2 > CoD3. I think the game will prove to be great.
