Hey Joystiq next time mention Halo3 in the main headline even though it has nothing to do with it. That way you can always have 200+ replies and not just 1 or 2 like this one LOL!!!

AOE got lame after age of kings: the conquerors expansion.

Ummm... the landscapes in Age of Kings were 3D.

AOK was actually 2D. The isometric angle just made it seem like it was 3D. All of the units were actually sprites.
