i got body, shoulders, and helmet for hayabusa with 0 skulls. i didnt do anything but then i got it and i was like whoa...
heres the gold, silver, and unknown skull locations: (MUST START AT BEGINNING OF LVL)
iron skull-1st lvl, dam area.jump off the cliff, turn right, and fight till u get to the place where the pelican picks u up at the end of the mission. face the back of the pelican, and turn left. jump on the platform where the jackal snipers with carbines try to kill u. jump on an electric box, and jump to the balcony area. continue down the path and then the iron skull is in the corner.
blind skull-1st lvl. near the beginning where the 2 phantoms arrive, go right, and on a cliff is the blind skull.
black eye skull-2nd lvl. at the beginning, jump onto the pipe and its sitting there.
grunt b-day party skull-2nd lvl. the part where the drones attack through the pipes and then u drop down, before u drop, look down for a green arrow. below theres another pipe, and the skull is sitting there.
tough luck skull-3rd lvl. part where u ditch the warthog and go across the highway. at the entrance of there, look left for a yellow ladder. go up it, and jump over the mesh on your right. follow for 5 seconds then look left, and jump down to the rectangle flat pipe thing. look left and the skull is there.
catch skull-4th lvl. don't destroy the antiair tank, beside it theres a round tower thing, and then park a warthog there, and grenade jump, the skull is on top. DO NOT KILL THE TANK OR IT DISAPPEARS.
fog skull-5th lvl. go to the factory but stop once u hit the metal ground, then wait till u hear a marine sergeant say something to his squad. look up and right, a flood zombie guy is standing there for 2 seconds, shoot him at the right time and then it will fall to the ground. the skull will be there. if you fail to shoot it at the right time, it will get stuck on the roof or get carried away by the flood zombie guy.
famine skull-6th lvl. at the part where johnson tells u to follow the pelican (BEFORE THE SCORPION TANK U GET), follow till u get to a platform with 4 metal things holding it up. get on it, and on 1 of them u grenade jump and u will get the skull.
cowbell skull-6th lvl. bring a grav-lift. go inside the building where u get the cartographer, and drop the grav-lift at the stairlike area where u go down, theres no stairs but its flat. drop a grav lift, and the skull is sitting at the top.
thunderstorm skull-7th lvl. 1st place where u get the hornet, fly to the second tower, the skull is in the shady area.
IWHBYD skull-7th lvl. extend the bridge, kill the prophet, and kill all the flood. then jump through the halo rings in this order.

then the skull is at the bridge. IF U MESS UP, JUMP OFF AND REDO IT.
tilt skull-8th lvl. get cortana, then go to the circular room where cortana says "SHE LIKES TO PLAY GAMES TOO", jump on the mushroom things and the skull is sitting on the top mushroom.
unknown skull-8th lvl. not gold or silver. get cortana, and where u have to destroy the 3 generator things, there should be a purple pipe thing leading up A VERY LITTLE BIT. grenade jump to the left, and follow right till the find it at the edge. BUNGIE CLAIMS IT A 2ND BLIND SKULL, BUT I FOUND IT MAKES U HAVE INFINITY AMMO FOR ALL WEPONS, EVEN IF FAMINE SKULL IS ON.
mythic skull-last lvl. at the beginning where u get out of the crashed pelican, keep to the right till u meet an intersection. go right, and the mythic skull is just sitting there at the end of the path.

srry about the last comment i made about where all the 13 skulls + 1 extra skull were. when u get the UNKNOWN SKULL, it may not do anything, and it might not show up on ur chart. BUNGIE PUT IT THERE BY ACCIDENT, IT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE A SKULL.I JUST GOT INFINITY AMMO AFTER I GOT IT THOUGH, IT WAS WEIRD, INFINITY ENERGY SWORD, INFINITY GRENADES, INFINITY CARBINE, AND INFINITE CLOAKING. IF IT DOESN'T HAPPEN TO U, THEN I'M SORRY, BUT I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO MY GAME (I DID NOT MOD OR GLITCH OR CHEAT IN ANY WAY). as again, ur welcome. reply if u found this useful.

hey its haloguts-d35 again, i would like u guys to know that halo3 planet lies about the IWHBYD skull, its not 4654534, i did that but it didn't work the 1st time, so i would like to help people to know about the REAL RING-JUMPING COMBINATION:
