It looks like Ratchet & Clank didn't show up three hours early to get through spaceport security and will be delayed a week. The boys were expected on Oct. 23, but according to the PlayStation Blog they'll be arriving Oct. 30. Not only has the game been delayed, but the demo expected Oct. 4 on PSN will now show up on Oct. 11. If you can't wait for the demo, remember that you can always pick it up at GameStop with a pre-order of Ratchet & Clank Future.
R&C Future is definitely a game we're looking forward to. Not only because the series has always been solid, but because we like pretty colors and we're getting a little sick of the brown motif in games. A week extra isn't so bad compared to other PS3 delays we've seen.

The demo at gamestop according to insomniac is of a far earlier build, and the one coming to psn is closer to the final build and more polished.
I dont see a week being that big of a deal.

Thank you for clarifying. Anyone that already has the disc demo should go ahead and download the new one just to be sure. There shouldn't be anymore screen tearing and low-fps character animations(like when you hit jump pads).
I personally think it will be the same demo level, but will use the final build(or near final) and actually let you fight the boss at the end.(akin to when the press got a first hands-on)

usually 1 week delays are to fix a game-crashing bug found at the last minute

It's probably to make sure the disk is not scratched when you open the box !

True Matt, but Vinny doesn't have a anti-ps3 spambot like Fernando does. It must be broken right now as it hasn't posted it's random message of hate yet.

I already have the demo. I got it for free for putting $5 down on a pre-order. I haven't played it yet though. I swore to not play it til I finished Heavenly Sword, but Whiptail is being a bitch and just won't die!!!!

This news sucks. I know a week isnt a big deal, but I was under the impression that it had gone gold already.
Hopefully they can roll out UT3 on time!

Mother******!! I want this game so badly! I've also forbid myself from playing the demo to have a fresh experience from day one of purchase. Dammit.

Honestly, what difference does a week make when a game it so close to release? Can developers *really* tweak a game that much so late?
It seems these frequent one-week delays are more likely due to printing or duplications delays... things outside of the developers' control. At least, that's what I think.
