Sayonara Tokyo: The TGS aftermath

Though this year's Tokyo Game Show wasn't quite filled with earth-shaking revelations, it did allow us to gain further insight into anticipated titles such as Metal Gear Solid 4, echochrome, Ninja Gaiden 2, Nights: Journey of Dreams and, err... Chocobo's Mysterious Dungeon. But that's not all! This weekend will see our last batch of impressions materialize, along with a sordid account of Joystiq's run-in with the official Square Enix store. Following that, we'll share some interviews involving Gran Turismo 5, Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword, Loco Roco and Assassin's Creed.
As they say in Japan, "Please look forward to it!"

While Andrew and Ludwig pretentiously stand in line at Sega's Joypolis arcade, Chris cringes as his hand unexpectedly phases out of existence.

Bomberman is adorable! The man inside wishes he was dead, though.

A beautiful view of Shinjuku taken from our private helicopter.

Jem and Ludwig discover the joys of Guitar Freaks. Or the lack of them, rather.

Andrew tries desperately to walk a stubborn electronic dog.

Cooking Mama -- the arcade game?

This isn't really related to anything, is it?

Only later did we find our photographer dead, pecked to a bloody pulp.

Yes, there's a Lavender one.

Fairly boring show this year, I thought.

Ditto to MrNimblewick.
The last two pictures would make excellent wallpapers, however!

I wish I had my own evil pecking Chocobo...

I'd say it was fairly boring for BIG announcements, seeing more of what we already knew (oddly reminiscent of E307 in that respect)
it was an excellent insight into the goodness coming from the fringes of the Japanese development community, however, little games like King's Story, Echochrome, the list was too many to count
oh, and i bet the guy in the Bomberman costume is gettin' lots of teh chicks, and you lot are just jealous ;)

Wow, I've never seen pictures of the guys. Pretty cool. Podcasts were good, but yeah the show just seemed a little meh. Ninja Gaiden 2 is memorable.

The lavender PSP isn`t released anywhere else? Wow. I feel special for having one now. Along with it`s official lavender case.
Glad you guys had a good time. Should have dragged myself over there to interpret for you. :D

I find it really hard to believe that it was worth it to stand in that line to play Metal Gear. When I saw it the line was longer than most lines I've seen at amusement parks. And were there really that many Cloud cosplayers or was it just the same girl walking around a lot? I kept seeing Cloud but I just thought it was the same person.
For me attending was a great once in a lifetime experience but it was something I think I feel like I had to do exactly once. Of course I just woke up from sleeping 16 hours and I am totally jetlagged so I may have a different opinion of it later on. (if anyone cares about my TGS experience you can google my name and find my blog)
