Hey kids, do you want to rock and roll with the best of them and show off your video game cred? Well now you can with this shred-tacular new video showing you just how to obtain that much-coveted status. All you need is an electric guitar, memories of Mega Man 3, and deep-rooted knowledge of modal scales.
The video is embedded after the break for those who wish to play along and learn from this tutorial -- for everyone else, well, the video is still embedded if you just want to have a look-see.
I love the Minibosses so hard. I lost my glasses getting hit in the face while drunkenly stage-diving during their Contra at a show in L.A. one time. It was totally awesome. They definitely do the best Mega Man 2 as well.
I recommend the Advantage as well. They're not as superhardrocking live (in fact they're totally boring live), but their albums are recorded as magical flawless perfection better than anything.
Now if he could just do the Wily Music from Mega Man 2 or the Zero final battle music from Megaman X2 we'd be in business. Somehow I don't think my acoustic guitar will cut it for this one.
LOL! I just checked Urban dictionary and the second definition matches what I was saying!
A word which recently has been used liberally as a way of discrediting something without having to give a proper justification, most often when someone finds they have a disliking for a popular phenomenon and is resentful of those who embrace it. Often used by anti-trendies.
(Something loved by many) is completely overrated.
So you proved that is what I meant by overrated by linking urban dictionary? Good job with that.
To counter, I actually did provide reasoning for why I think that minibosses are overrated, listen to all those other bands, then listen to the minibosses. Listen to each of them live as well, check out youtube for that. The Minibosses are very inaccurate, make mistakes much too often, don't add anything creative to the songs they cover, and cover only the most obvious titles to cover. The Advantage are incredibly accurate, and are a sort of college tradition band, where members come and go, and will continue to come and go, when all the NES games have at least one song covered from each. The Kode have background in music school, are legitimate players of their instruments trained in jazz, fusion, etc... and delve into virtuosity often within their versions of the music. The OneUps accurately interprete game music into Jazz very well. And Year 200x is all about heavy metal, and they are extremely accurate, fast, add to the music, creative, etc...
I didn't really want to waste time saying all that, but if I said that, would you have referenced your silly urban dictionary to prove a point?
The LAST thing this guy should do, or not do AT ALL is put this in that cesspool called OC Remix. The Signal to noise ratio on OC Remix is appalling. I downloaded their torrents so fat and I'm sorry to say this but 70% of the music was garbage, 20% was okay, 5% good, and 5% was DAP worthy.
Also, if you're an artist they force you to Add OC Remix to your song title. FUCK THAT.
Oc Remix is like YouTube. There are better way to do it, but people submit because it has the eyeballs/ears. There are much better sites than youtube (blip.tv) or OC Remix (jamendo). You just have to be willing to work harder to get an audience.
