The newest Zelda game, Phantom Hourglass for the DS, launched a day early to the surprise of Nintendo World Store shoppers today in New York City. It's not every day that a new Zelda game graces the Nintendo faithful, and the World Store housed some rare memorabilia from the series' long-running legacy. In addition, cosplayers flocked to the store for a chance to nab the game for free. Excuuuse me, but this Link from the original Saturday morning cartoon wins the cake from us.

Heh... how did that photo get in there? =D
That was a sign I spotted in a window right next to the World Store. Weird, huh?

So get my luck: according to my local EB Games here in St. John's, Newfoundland, Phantom Hourglass won't be arriving until Tuesday. Except I have class all day Tuesday. And then on Wednesday I have an assignment to do all day. Then class all day on Thursday again. End result is if I don't get this game tomorrow, when I only have two classes, I won't be playing it until Thursday :(:(:(

What the hell is the Itachi cosplayer doing at a Zelda launch event? Did he put on the wrong costume and not realize it?

As if Futurama needs any defending on this site. I'll buy this as soon as I finish some of my other games.

I was also at the launch event. If you'd like to read my impressions, I've posted them on the Nintendo World Report Forums.

That's it...
If Nintendo doesn't get its asses in gear to build a Nintendo Store here in California, I'm gonna have to blow up the States between California and New York, and bring together both states.
That, or a remove the current store from New York and place it somewhere convinient for me.
